Just a note for our foreign participants who want to score political points. Chicago has a very well-earned reputation as a corrupt patronage town, run by Democrats, for the benefit of Democrats.

Just wanted to chime in that, as well, Denver cops have recently gotten in the spotlight for beating up innocent people on the streets.  One egregious example: http://www.denverpost.com/frontpage/ci_16870456?obref=obnetwork

From reading the article linked to in the original post, the claims have been going on for decades and were not acted upon.  Also, the guy was fired eighteen years ago for coercing testimony, but was never charged.  There's been a huge coverup, and I hope those above Burge get it as well.
