As a rape victim myself, I have to agree with Hillwilliam. There are more criminals out there than there are innocent victims like me.

Burge made innocent men confess to crimes they had nothing to do with. The actual criminals remained free because he and his men couldn't be bothered to do actual police work but instead just beat down the "usual suspects."

Yes, they certainly were all innocent. Its incredible how many of you comment on the real import of the story, which is breaking of the law by a LEO, and immediately sympthatize with the "victims". The contrast beween conservative and liberal brains highlighted once again. How Fl actually got one right is beyond me.

No his line is that they are obviously guilty because the police suspect them of something (why have a trial where it might be found that they aren't guilty?). So like in Cuba forget the rule of law all you need to suspicion and you can do what you like to another human being.

He was only tortured for 3 days to confess to a crime he didn't commit and spent 20 years in prison as a result.
