Yeah, Reagan could read a speech, he was a trained actor, big fucking deal. He tanked the economy and deregulated the airwaves so right win nut jobs could fill the heads of the insane and the paranoid and the ignorant with lies. And, you guys give him credit for winning the cold war single handed like he was John Wayne (who was a shitty actor, by the way). If you're confused on who I mean was a shitty actor pick either one of them.

Im not discussing Obama, im discussing Reagan with you. How do you feel about the deregulation of health care? HCA had a field day then. And what of mental health? Thousands of people were simply turned out on the streets after Reagan got done. Do you see these as Nobel Peace Prize worthy endeavors?

Tazzy, In Massachusetts Mike Dukakis was doing that in the 70's when he was Gov. And that was during the Carter Administration. It's the States who run or ran mental health hospitals. As you may or may not know I'm for a single payer system like Canada's.

Its the federal government who was funding them through private and public insurance until DRG's came out.

On another forum of which I am a member, a new rule has been put in place that a member may only start two threads per day, or six threads per week. I really like this rule, as it prevents the sort of drive-by trolling that PA does. Flooding the forum with trivial news stories is ruining this forum for me, and I feel certain that many others feel the same. One only need count the number of threads this person starts every single day to understand the problem. I enjoy a good discussion. What I don't enjoy is seeing the same paranoid rants day after day after day. I have him on ignore, but that doesn't prevent perfectly good threads from being buried by this garbage. Brain did the same thing, but he is no longer here. The discussions at another kink site are far and away at a higher level than here. It's this sort of trolling with multiple threads that ruined the B.com Politics forum. Starting threads that are nothing more than repeats of the headlines at CNN or FOX or some crackpot site like prisonplanet do not invite discussion. I remember getting "My Weekly Reader" in Elementary school; that's the level of the threads to which I refer. I'd like to think I'm not a lone voice in the wilderness.
