So I have a photoshoot coming up, and the theme of it is called "Pretty Psychopaths"

I have been chosen to be the murderous school girl, as well as a soccer mom.

the soccer mom role is what has my undies in a bunch.

i asked the photographer to go in depth of what his vision was, and this was his response:

"Soccer mom, a typical housewife, very basic but cute. Preppy, totally non-threatening, looking like someone you would meet at your kid's school PTA. Then we do her up with a baseball bat, pistol, and butcherknife. Throw in some blood and bits of flesh and we have a normal mother gone psycho. This shoot would take place in someone's home who has an old style kitchen and a garage. Maybe some outdoors shots too near some trashcans or a freshly covered hole and shovel."

honestly, I haven't seen any stay at home moms in my lifetime aside from the ones on the ""real housewifes of..." series, and i think that may be a bad example to look to.

Can anybody give me some ideas?

Khaki pants, pastel and neat blouse. Throw a string of moderate to small sized pearls on, maybe one of those popular pandora (or a pandora knock-off) bracelet, low heels and demure makeup. Cover flaws (like they exist! [:D]), tan and golds for eyeshadow and a nice lipstick that doesn't vary too much from you natural color - just boosts it up a bit.

That is how I would do it anyway so take what you like and leave the rest. :-)

You not only have the housewife/soccer mom, you have the psycho part also.

do the shoot thru the side door of a mini-van (obviously with you inside)....nothing says 'soccer-mom' more than mini-vans

Why would you do that kind of shoot when we had a massacre in AZ?

Isn't that like glorifying violence?

I glanced through the first couple of pages - pastels, jeans and unbuttoned blouses with a cami underneath turn up a lot. I just meant it to give you a quick overview of the archetype...

Dude, its very sad and all, and my deepest sympathies go out to the families affected by it.

HOWEVER, that has nothing to do with me and my life. So unless you are going to cut me a check for the money I would lose out on by not doing the shoot (which was scheduled before the incident), your comment is neither here, nor there.

Its just that its so...practical.

Yes, I understand that is the point of the outfit, but geez, there is nothing interesting...its just so bland. No pizzaz or anything.

Wow, I just clicked on your link and then decided to try "soccer mom" in the search. You wouldn't believe how many pervy photos came up!?! ...not sure you'd want to dress like THAT for the shoot [:D].

Instead of a gun-  box cutters and over 3 oz- a TSA renegade.

Cashmere cardigan/shell top set with slacks....nothing black, too businessy...with a nice, subdued necklace, bracelet and earrings (Tiffany sterling silver sort of thing) and some 2" open toe heels.
