You'll realise perhaps perhaps that there are far greater issues surrounding transparent information disclosure such as 'super injunctions.' You don't have to be a member of the Royal family to hide your secrets, just rich. So therefore there is nothing specific to the Royal Family in all this.

Sorry,I am an American and Europe has it right about the gun culture.I dont believe all guns should be outlawed here in America.However,a reasonable gun control policy that makes sure the weirdos arent able to buy guns from the internet or at some Gun Expo,is not asking for too much.

I'm not an expert in gun rights, but pistols are non-assault rifles were in existence when the Second Amendment was created and as such are clearly addressed by it. But a fair case could be made that assault rifles were not addressed by it, and should not be included with it. The court would then have the tricky job of interpreting the intent of the Second Amendment and applying that imputed intent to assault rifles. More like a flimsy case could be made that assault rifles were not addressed by it. The constitution is a set of principles that are timeless for the most part. Back in the day the Kentucky long rifle was the assault rifle of it's time. They were far more accurate then the British brown bess muskets and had longer range capability. It would be inconsistent with the second amendment to give the government a monopoly on all the firepower, small arms that is, though an argument could be made that civilians should be able to own rockets, grenades or tanks and such. IMHO we need to draw a line in the sand when it comes to small arms. One other point: the other poster was correct in referring to assault rifles as "so called". Technically assault rifles are capable of fully automatic fire with the flip of a switch. These weapons are highly regulated and must be registered in addition to an extensive FBI background check in order to own one. The "so called" assault rifles, the ones they are always trying to ban are simply semi-automatic look-a-likes.

As far as the gun expo goes, there is a waiting period before a gun purchase goes through. I don't know what restrictions exist for online sales.
