STRIP CLUB AT DALLAS AIRPORT CAUSES CONTROVERSY...

What's so "controversial" about it? Is it going to be an "open-air" strip club or something?
And what about all those huge billboards with a representation of someone who's supposed to be "Jesus" on them? Wouldn't they be "controversial?"

they shoulda named it "strip searched"

but really, don't see what the big deal is, the areas round airports are normally sleeze central, Lax,Setac, vegas, ect.
International Airport way or road or highway is normally filled to the brim with drug dealers and hookers in almost all the cities I've worked in.

this one just pays taxes..only dif
then again I've never been to fortworth

This would be more interesting if they put the strip club inside the airport.

Seems like a foolish place to put it. Traffic to and from airports being heavy usually, I can't see people deciding to sit in traffic for an hour to spend an hour there.

~FR~

I really don't get how it's dangerous or even how it concerns the airport. Airports have a fair degree of freedom in that there aren't that many of them. They don't need to worry about a lot of people picking a different airport or, for that matter, airlines pulling out of the airport, because of a strip club. I just don't see that happening.

If anything, I see it increasing business. Something has be to pretty bad to make travelers go out of their way. But it doesn't take much, IME, to entice someone to do something easier or more entertaining. Being able to pass a few hours at a strip club between flights could be one of those things.

Why the need?  TSA gropes you right there in real time!

For gosh sake... just require that any nudity take place only within the club.  No suggestive signs, etc.

From a practical point of view, the Dallas airport could find itself scheduled for more layovers. Not a bad thing in this down economy.  I'd make a strong recommendation that the club have a shuttle to/from the airport.

Good idea. I think they are only opposed because the are expected to be. Once the place opens and passengers start stopping over on layovers, they will quiet down.

Sure, but it wouldn't get people who weren't going to or from the airport was my thought. And I think there are a lot more people who aren't flying on any given day than those who are.

Or put it next to a grade school.

HAAAAAAAAA!

I like Aylee's suggestion. It would make the flight delays and cancellations much more bearable.

And the three hour wait at the airport in the first place, more enjoyable.
