Zucchini au gratin?

sensualmagirl -> RE: Food Game (2/3/2007 12:15:46 PM)

oooh.. zucchini AND cheese... can I get the recipe?

Ouflauf (kind of mac & cheese with Knockwurst and Gruyere)

Chloelicious -> RE: Food Game (2/3/2007 12:34:43 PM)

Sensual

Here is the recipefor 2 persons

6 or more big zucchinis
A big can of peeled tomatoes in cubes
A a bottle or 2 of fresh cream
Salt, pepper
Grounded cheese and Pamesan cheese if you like
A bit of butter to gratinate.

Peel and cut zucchinis in  not too thin slices, place them in a plate and put a bot of salt on top of each layer of zucchini, let it like this for an hour or so to drain the most water out of them.

Rince the slices with warm water 2 time, to get the salt away, let them dry a little.

First make a layer of zucchini, then a bit of tomatoes, another layer of vegetable and cover with cream.
Process like that untill the  plate is full (you can put more tomatoes if you want) salt  and pepper.
Put the grounded cheese / parmesan or both on the last layer
add a few knife spears of butter or margarine and put in the oven untill you got a crust and your fork enter delicately and slowly in the layers of zucchinis

Sorry  if i can not give you the right proportion but European size chart of proportion and american one are very different.

Hope you enjoy

Chloe

PS if you need more indications or the information i gave are inssufficient, feel free to send me a CM mail.
