The boards here are good, put stuff in your journal on here, i get lots of comments on my journal and have met a few just that way....maybe flesh out your profile a bit more. You say you're not into "most" bdsm. Maybe expand upon that. List things that you like or are interested in, saying only things that you won't do tends to turn off Doms.
Sometimes, just send a note to a Dom saying you enjoyed reading his profile...that works too.
Also, try FetLife they have lots of groups so you may very well be able find groups there which match your interests. And then, you can meet Doms through there as well. There are so many different groups and interests there that you should be able to find something that will help you find who you're looking for.
