Why, I remember as if it were yesterday. I hope not to cause a scandal.

It was at a social gathering, a party to celebrate my father's best friend's retirement from the rail business. I had worn my favorite dress, the lavender silk one with the large bustle and my new pearls from India.

The main course was just being served, and Gertrude is telling us about how that handsome young military man with the widow's peak was flirting with her in her father's garden, when in her haste...

She picks up the salad fork instead of the meal fork!

Could you imagine? A woman of Gertude's standing? Eating with this giant fork like some low-class bumpkin?

The girls at the sewing circle gave her a good ribbing about that one!

...So it was either that, or the time this guy pulled his dick out at me on the subway.

My ex, and this is why he is ex, choses not to be moderate with alcohol. On the way home, he'll whip out his dick and urinate where ever. If he has retained a few IQ points, he'll go behind a car or a tree, but one time it was under a streetlight outside the Smith & Wollensky dining room on South Beach. I've told him I won't bail him out of jail and that perhaps indecent exposure = sex offender, but he scoffs at me when he's sober and it's useless when he's drunk.

He's had a few altercations with police over other matters, and they've chosen to let his 6'4" 250# plus drunk self be my problem and not theirs.

Too bad he never ran into any of the metro-Dade cops that I trained ;-)

My auntie at my baby nephews funeral. She turned to me and said, 'your sister must of done some terrible things in her past life'. I have never spoken to her since.

OMG. I would have slapped her, seriously.

I had lunch with a guy from another company, we had worked on several projects together, each for our respective company, and he was carefully testing how I might react to a job offer from his company, another business acquaintance of him came into the same restaurant and invited himself to join us, he seemed to have had quite a bit of a liquid lunch before and and came on very strong while trying to feel me up under the table.

The guy I had lunch with was mortally embarrassed and kept apologizing after we made our escape and had coffee somewhere else.

So hard to pick just one....

this one comes to mind:

I was called to aid a patient in cardiac arrest at an assisted living.  When I got there, sure enough, there was an elderly woman at the bottom of the stairs, in cardiac arrest, and my team and I began resuscitation efforts. A young man (30s or so), identified himself as her son, was there on his cell phone, and I assumed he must be on the phone with another family member to let them know what's happening.   I had to ask him to please get off the phone so I could get some vital medical info/history from him.

He did one of those "hold on a second" on the phone--and said, "so, is she dead?"  He then stepped over the body (we were still working on her) like it was a log in the forest, and said, something to the effect of, "I really don't care. Just let me know where you're taking her--I'm making plans for later and don't want to have to drive cross town."

When I looked over, the patient's friends were all standing right there.

I hope the lady survived just long enough to strike her ***** son from her will.
