When I bottom, I find that it takes about ten minutes of impact play before I get to a place where the pain is enjoyable. For pure warm-up, this will feel like an awfully long time. I can muscle through ten minutes of moderately heavy play before the endorphins kick in, but that mostly takes stubbornness and the knowledge that it will get more enjoyable. Pain will always hurt. If you can make friends with it and let it show you how strong you are, you may find it very rewarding, but unless you're a very special brand of masochist, it will always hurt.
