You can't.

You can't, but does it really matter? Just forget about it, your world probably won't explode!

Email a mod and ask them to.  Be sure to state a reason.

Doesnt matter the reason. There is a period of time you can blank out or edit your replies or opening post, after that, when the button grays out, your time is up. The forum is archived, and we do not delete parts of it at a later date.

You know that great piece of advice that your employer gives you about not hitting send on anything your career can't live with?  Same thing.

If you use liquid paper on the screen, it will look like the thread has been removed.  [8D]

"Doesnt matter the reason"

So I decided to respond to you K                                  ?

But to expound on that, if this site lets a post stand it is pretty much there in perpetuity. People have shoved old posts down my throat from time to time, things I wrote drunk or high or whatever, even in a bad mood.

If you don't get bounced, your post will live on forever.

Keep that in mind.

Yes. Delete your account. Start a new one using a different name. And then go back on the thread and tell the OP how stupid he is.

You could try hijacking it to talk about Sarah Palin, or, I've heard talking about math will drive the mods into a frenzy of censorship.

The most effective way: Read the TOS. Violate it. Hard and without lube. This method does have it's drawbacks - the Mods usually aren't happy with you when all is said and done.

Beyond that, shut up and hope people let it die.

I'm not sure about that.  I've seen folks get a comment on a thread removed for that, but not necessarily the whole thread.  I think the only time they remove the whole thread is when it just isn't possible to 'clean up' the thread after a certain point.  I mean, if somebody added a comment at this point that violated TOS, wouldn't they just pull that post?

Depends on how bad it is - threads do get pulled for behaviors I'm not listing because I don't want to risk getting a love note from the mods.

Just remember that I did say hard and without lube. [:D]

Agreed, Aqua.  Though a one pager would be very challenging to get out of hand.  That usually doesn't happen until around page twenty.  LOL.
