However, the sad fact remains that the PC crowd has forgotten that criminals are BAD people and need a smack upside the head to convince them to straighten up and fly right. Instead they think of criminals as poor misguided individuals that just need some understanding because they were not hugged enough as a child. Well, they are not children anymore so they need to get over it and become a productive member of society.

Like I said above, I never said I didn't believe in justice but I'm not going to throw a party and jump for joy that they are dead. I have a reverence for life. Even when I'm eating meat I am always aware that it was once a living breathing creature that was killed. This has nothing to do with being a "bleeding heart" but in the fact that we all were created in the same way even though we don't all turn out the same way. Life is life...period. I don't find any kind of happiness in destruction.
