Or perhaps bits of paper with the pictures of dead politicians on aren't equivalent to a life.

Well it was close enough for the robber who chose to risk his own life to acquire them.

Looks like he shot the guy with the knife, if this report is accurate:
quote:

Yuhanna Williams was still clutching his knife when a Rockdale County sheriff's deputy, reporting for work as a security guard at Ingles, came upon the Covington man's body Saturday night in the grocery store's parking lot. Williams' shooter hovered nearby.
Can't say that I feel too sorry for the guy who got shot.

I find it disturbing that your sympathy lies with the criminals instead of their intended victim.

Aggravated robbery is acceptable to you and self-defense is not.

It is the sole reason I post about stories like this and I post a thread about every one I read. Threads like these draw out the bleeding hearts and show how truly ass backwards our society has become. I do think the pendulum is beginning to swing in the other direction (finally) which is encouraging.

The world needs some bleeding hearts.  They do have a purpose in keeping the awareness of injustice in the world in people minds so that such things can be remedied.  However, the sad fact remains that the PC crowd has forgotten that criminals are BAD people and need a smack upside the head to convince them to straighten up and fly right.  Instead they think of criminals as poor misguided individuals that just need some understanding because they were not hugged enough as a child.  Well, they are not children anymore so they need to get over it and become a productive member of society.

"it's a sad thing though that someone is dead whether it be someone that did something bad or not."

Oh ? Hitler, Stalin, McVeigh, that guy in Texas who ate Women ? Those serial killers ? Be careful when you speak in the absolute.

T

yes even them Mteryn8or. I believe any loss of life is a sad thing even if they are hineous people. Like I said above, I never said I didn't believe in justice but I'm not going to throw a party and jump for joy that they are dead. I have a reverence for life. Even when I'm eating meat I am always aware that it was once a living breathing creature that was killed.

This has nothing to do with being a "bleeding heart" but in the fact that we all were created in the same way even though we don't all turn out the same way. Life is life...period.

I don't find any kind of happiness in destruction.
