Would be helpful if someone could tell me how to get rid of the vanillia symbol.....such false advertising ;)

Welcome to CM and the boards. The vanilla cone is based on how many posts you make, once you reach 26 then it changes. The higher the count post, then the symbols change. You can check out the FAQ's at the top of the page and it'll give you all the info you need.
