My aunt makes the world's most wonderful "sucre a la creme sure" squares. Somewhat like fudge, butter, sour cream, whatever else, can't remember the recipe. I tried to make it a few years ago for my dad his g/f her daugher and boyfriend. In the microwave as directed. Ignored the burning smell. Ooooo, turned into solid cement. Couldn't even get it out of the 8x8 glass pan with boiling water. Dad had to throw out the entire thing, including the damn pan, and I've never lived it down.
To say I've never tried to make it again would be an understatement. I now buy it when I see in in stores. Much safer that way. O that, and I don't have to share. [;)]
