I'm not sure if it's appropriate here, but I wanted to pass this along.  Many of you probably heard about the suicide of Tyler Clementi that happened shortly after he discussed his roommate problems on the JustUsBoys.com forum. The roommate used a hidden webcam to broadcast his gay sexual encounters. JustUsBoys pledged a matching donation of up to $10,000 to the Matthew Shepard Foundation, an organization that works to help prevent such tragedies.  They will match donations made through November 30, 2010. If you ever considered supporting such an organization, doing so now will double your contribution.  Plus, the next $35 will be matched by one of the forum members before JUB matches it.

Here's the link to the announcement. Warning - this goes to the forum portion of a gay porn site. There are sexually explicit ads at the bottom of the page.  http://www.justusboys.com/forum/announcement.php?f=6&a=85

This link goes directly to the Matthew Shepard Foundation donation page. Be sure to write "JustUsBoys.com" in the comments field so JUB can match the donation.  https://app.etapestry.com/hosted/MatthewShepardFoundation/OnlineDonation.html

oK, I've seen it twice today. It used to be LGBT for Les, Gay, Bi, Tras.

Would someeone tell me what the heck LGBTQ is?

I'm sorry, just an old, nonjudgemental dude who happens to have gay friends and relatives and doesn't want then to think Im an idiot because I dont know what the Q is for.

You've always got to be inclusive of the people of Quebec

Questioning, apparently. What am I, I don't know, am I a tree, humm etc.

I believe it's for those that still question their sexual identity.

The LBGT community is getting active.  We just had a member of their community speak to our synagogue last night.

Atleast here in Europe Q stands for Queer, which means people who question the western gender binary and heteronormativity. I personally identify as queer person, since I do not have any feeling of belonging to cis-genders.
