It sounds like it's a bit fast and labored, but she's not panting however her nose is dry and hot, however I am hoping that's just because the the last few hours I have had the heater on . It's not that warm in here to me, but maybe it is to her? Is it possible her nose is warm cause it's warm in here to her , should I turn the heater off?? It also seems her breath sounds goes fast fast slow, stop, sound of heart beat fast fast slow, sound of heart heartbeat. I can't hardly hear her heart beat over her breath sounds . I don't normally make a habit of listening to her heart beat so I don't know if this is normal.What does a normal breath sound pattern sound like, and are you supposed to be able to hear the heart over the breath sounds or is it supposed to be kind of masked?

Hi TFB-- I'm not a vet--I could offer help if this was a human, but animals are a different, well, animal. I know from my cats that a hot, dry nose means they may have a fever. You can always call your vet and ask him/her. Because of Ginger's recent diagnosis, you may be more aware of everything she does--I'd talk to a professional. Hope she's alright--take care, hon--

hausboy, I called the emergency vets to ask if the breath sounds were normall, and they couldn't advise me unless I took her in an they billed me for a visit. But maybe in the morning at her regular vet I could get her in. She stopped making audible breathing trouble sounds, and seems to be snoozing quietly, so I don't know. I am paranoid about all the little noises she makes now because I know she's sick yes. I am worried the new odd little changes mean something has worsened. And yes, usually it does mean something negative is going on if their nose is hot or dry, here's to hoping it's just warm in here. Thank you hausboy:)d
