lol... As a very wise man said to me the other day:

... he's not going to allow facts to change his mind.

They collide with his prejudices and biases, therefore he will discount and discard them.

Nice list. Now the only question is will he try to spin his own words or will he just ignore this thread from now on?

Wait a minute, you're still pushing the meme that no tea partiers are racists? Did you pay no attention to the NY Governor's race? What about Angle's immigration ad?

Straw manning already, DK?  [:D]

You're accusing me of erecting a straw man? That's rich. The straw man is, of course, your claim that someone said all tea partiers were racists. No one said that.

But you'll keep on making shit up because that is all you can do.

Still straw manning, putting words in my mouth, and then attacking what you wish I had said, instead of what I have said.

You have made it very clear that you believe the founders of the movement were racist, that the driving force behind the movement is racism, and that very few (if any) of the participants aren't racist.

Any faint "maybe not every single one" was nothing more than an attempt to give the theoretical possibility that there might be one or two misguided individuals who perhaps, maybe, 1-in-a-million-shot might not be racist.

But you had no doubt that they were, deep in their heart.

Your own words:

Tancredo said something racist? I'm shocked, shocked.

Tea Party convention goers applauded a racist speech? I'm shocked, shocked.

After having been to several tea party events it is quite clear to me that the driving force behind the movement is racism. A significant portion, a majority it appeared, of attendees at the events I witnessed were birthers which is also a fairly blatantly racist movement.

Really, which events were these? The events downtown last summer and fall all were quite openly racist. The birther crap was everywhere.

Oh please. Stop this stupidity already. I grew up in the old South, within walking distance of Stone Mountain back when they held Klan rallies there. Many of my relatives are racists and I've been around as long as I can remember. I know the code words racists use to hide in plain sight. I know what 14 words means. I know what 88 symbolizes.

A significant plurality, majority IMO, of the attendees of tea party events I've been at in person, both in Chicago and in Alabama, as well as those I've seen on TV are racists. Claiming otherwise is to deny the evidence plain before your face.

Who said anything about "officially". Although it isn't hard to establish that the founders are bigots.

RE: Quote of the Week - 5/22/2010 12:21:24 PM

The topic was whether a significant plurality of tea party supporters are racists and if that racism is the driving force behind their support of the tea party movement. You couldn't deny those facts so you tried to change the subject.

No one is saying every critic of the President is a racist.

What makes the tea party people look like racists is the signs they carry, the racist things they say and write, the inescapable fact that these people only discovered their deep seated anger about government debt when he got sworn in and the fact that the people who started the whole thing are racists.

I will point out again that this is the consevative guilt by association meme come home to roost and it is hilarious to follow the ongoing conservative freak out while I've yet to see any of them acknowledge that they were wrong to try it back in 2008.

RE: tea-bagger responds to NAACP resolution with really... - 7/18/2010 5:19:53 PM

Think back 2 years. Remember being warned that guilt by association was unAmerican? Remember ignoring those warnings? Remeber how you claimed it was patriotic and the right thing to do? Be a man a admit it was wrong then like its wrong now.

As to claims that its all leftists making the tea party look bad, best check the dates again there buddy. Plenty of really racist stuff at the first rallies long before "infiltrate the tea party" got started.

Firm

Way to prove my point. I never said all tea partiers are racists and never said it was only one in one million that wasn't. I said majority and plurality not all not virtually all or anything of the sort.

You tried to claim I said something I never said and then for some reason quoted me extensiovely proving you wrong.

Or is this another time when you decided to not read what I wrote but what you wish I wrote?

See above. I guess we have an answer, along with the proving of Treasure's point as well.

He just continues to straw man, refusing to actually engage in an honest discussion.

That's all he ever does.

Exit Polls: Unprecedented White Flight from Democrats
By David Paul Kuhn

quote:

Democrats performed worse with whites on Tuesday than in any other congressional election since the Second World War. Democrats' white problems stretch back nearly a half-century. Political white flight changed course with the implosion of George W. Bush's presidency, the Republican Party and the economy in September 2008.
Today, it's almost as if none of that ever came to pass. Democrats' bad old days are back, and in an especially bad way. Republicans won whites in Tuesday's national House vote by a 22-percentage point margin (60 to 38 percent) according to exit polls. In 2006, Republicans won whites by a mere 4 points. Whites shifted at three-fold the rate of Hispanics between the two midterms, while the black vote remained steady. Democrats faired even worse than in 1994, when Republicans won whites by 16 points (58 to 42 percent) and with them, a landslide. Now comes a House landslide unseen since 1938. Presidents are the ghost candidates of midterms. In fact, more voters said Obama was a factor in their vote than said Bush was a factor four years ago.

And your meaning? That Democrats pander to minorities and that whites don't like minorities? I'd disagree with that

That democrats pander to minorities which they don't. And that whites don't like minorities. Some do , some don't. Not sure if there is a "why" to answer to it.

I said the word pander didn't bother me and that it wasn't correct in that "democrats pander to minorities". Its that difficult?
