No candy here to have any urge for. I wasn't home so I didn't buy any and no kids in the house so no candy to dig into. Makes it easy for me not to pig out on it all lol.

We don't get many kids on our hill, only between 16-30 something, so I buy full sized candybars at Sams.  This year we had Reeses Peanutbutter Cups, Hersheys, Hersheys with Almonds, and Kit Cat.  I also bought Halloween erasers and pencils from the Dollar Tree as well as stickers and ucky lil plastic insects.  This year I bought a box of cute Halloween suckers...that my son forgot to hand out until half way through the night so I have 2/3 of the box left over.  We have at least ten candy bars left over too.

The candy bars are not tempting me somehow, as I am gearing up to start Atkins diet soon and the first thing to go is my craving for chocolate.  I did take a sucker though, and enjoyed it for a few hours while posting here last night.

It was a haunted house with a ghost at the door and a jack o'lantern in front along the fence.  Very artificial grape tasting...no gummi stuff just some dried type of frosting.

It was soooooo cute.

We got one of the variety packs of candy bars. I felt it was my duty to try one of each when the bag was opened just to make sure it was good. Wouldn't want to be passing out substandard chocolate to the little kiddies.

Oh Lord, isn't candy at a health club kind of well umm lol wrong?

I never get any trick or treaters so lucky me i don't buy candy anymore, HOWEVER, all the sweet parents at work tend to bring most of the candy their kids bring in to WORK.  Blah, and its always the good stuff.

I can usually do pretty well if i simply stay out of the kitchen where everyone puts it.

I cheated.  I knew I'd be out, so I didn't buy any.  I didn't realize my adult son would be going taking his girlfriend & her younger sibling trick or treating.  Yes, he dressed in costume & got a sack load of treats, too.
(I am resisting the smarties' & sweettarts' call to me.)

Every year I but a bowl full of assorted candy. Every year the little goblins don't knock.
Now I have a big ass bowl of Hershey bars and Butterfingers....grrrrrrrrr.
And while I bought the Hershey Bars because I don't like them, the Butterfingers have been rapidly disappearing, miraculously with no kids involved.

I live in the sticks, so no trick-or-treaters have ever come to our door in the entire time we have lived in this house. But I always have to buy a bag, just in case ;) Naturally I buy the good stuff, and try not to indulge too much. But never until Nov. 1. My kids are too old for TorT-ing, so they get their fair share too.

M, my littlest niece, was ToTr at house with her brother and sister.  At one place, they got some candy and were getting ready to leave when M grab the elderly woman' leg and says "more sucker, more sucker".

Walmart is being stringy with the Halloween candy...no discount whatsoever.

Believe it or not, I actually made it.  We managed to give out all of ours, having just a single piece left.  My other half claimed it.  Had it been one of the snickers, we might have had to split it.

I didn't eat any. I bought candy that I don't like and handed it all out last night. Those last few trick or treaters got one hell of a treat

I don't know about your Wal-Mart, Shar, but at mine, candy prices, along with everything else, has gone up.  I took some sheets back that I lost the receipt for, and I paid $6 for them, and got $8 back!  I even told the lady that I only paid $6, and she said that they were ringing up at $8, so that's what she had to work with.

And I even saw a whole aisle of Christmas candy and gift sets out already!  That Sucks!!!!!

Worse comes to worse, I'll walk down the street to the elementary school and give it to them........

They don't usually like this. Apparently it's creepy or something.

I didn't expect any trick-or-treaters (and I was right) but I did get a bag for my friends' kids. At the moment I have a friend crashing at my place, and we're both doing some damage to what's left over. I mean, I wouldn't want it to melt in the winter...especially the peanut butter cups...

Well, Switch, I ended up giving the bulk of it to the landlord, he was outside passing his out, so I told him to have at it.  At least if he couldn't get rid of it, he can eat it, I can't because of the diabetes.....

I resisted until the last of the trick or treaters had gone, then I succumbed and fished out one piece each of my favourites.
The rest is now stored securely, as the 11th is St. Martins day, which is the traditional candy gathering day for kids in Germany. They go from house to house with quite beautiful, and often intricate lanterns they crafted themselves, offering songs for candy.
Halloween is still a very recent addition around here.

obviously depends on the area from germany as st. martins day has nothing to do with sweets in my town. we always get there a hot sausage in a roll after we walk through the town (behind st. martin on his horse) with the laterns and not at all from house to house.

We have the treck around town with Sr. Martin on a horse, and often a band, first here too.
After that St. Martin hands out Weckmänner by the huge fire, and the children break up into groups to go from house to house.

From which part of Germany are you? I grew up in Köln, and am now in Leverkusen. At least in NRW it is pretty much universal to go singing for candy. If you get into the more rural communities, a Schnaps for the adult chaperon at each door is also traditional.
