Hi my name is Plasmaleto :-) been on CM for quite some time now. Keep finding myself in Vanilla relationships and try to introduce the lifestyle to my partners but none really grasp what it truly is. Think I've come to terms with the fact that it's not gonna change for the time being so looking for friends (preferrably female) just for friendship (not opposed to other options, just not expecting or looking). Gonna revamp my profile in the next few days too :-)

You might make some friends by participating in the forums. More than one person has been noticed by someone who enjoys the interesting thoughtful posts in the forum.

What Peppermint said. And welcome to the forums. Trying to "convert" vanilla women is a pretty tough go. Not impossible mind you, just not probable. I was always submissive just didn't find out I was "a" submissive until almost 7 yrs ago. And I know from speaking to other women that they think I'm nuts. But it's a Lifestyle that's meant for me, and the hell with the rest if they don't understand. Not that I go advertising, but my friends and a few close family members are aware. Otherwise, they just see the vanilla side. My kink is not their kind and I'm not going to force it on anyone else.

I agree with tiggerspoohbear converting anyone, is really just a waste of time, if it's not something in their heart/mind/soul to being with. You should be on the look-out for women who display the qualities you seek. You should know when you see/hear one, that you are talking with a submissive (she might sound a little dominant or moody in writing, so that might be misleading) but...mannerisms rarely lie though. You should be able to tell, when you meet "said" woman that she might be into the same things you are into, though don't make this assumption before making a few leading questions to see if she's at least curious to what you mention. If she's not, then you will probably not find what you seek in the partner that you want to find. Welcome to the forums, yeah it's hard to get past the first 5 posts if you still feel new to things. I myself felt the same way, but slowly and surely I feel I am gaining confidence and my real voice, at last, so don't get discouraged the woman you seek is out there waiting to be found. She may not just come wrapped in a neat little box and be left on your doorstep (that'd be nice if the post workers could deliver our soulmates...no I wasn't refering to foreign brides HAHA, I just meant, that's a nice little fantasy that things would come pre-packaged and ready to go for us, but *sighs, that is mostly just fantasy. Real relationships take work and time, dedication, and looking around, and keeping your eye open (I myself have a hard time living outside my own bubble, so I've been trying to work on that lately).

Welcome plas, i'd enjoy the vanilla relationships, i'm coming to a stage in my life where i see the d/s lifestyle as a total sham, don't let me put you off though, i've had some good times getting here, it's a journey we all make our own way!

After the warm welcome and well-wishes, I now know I'll enjoy the forums :-) and I feel that vanilla relationships can work but I have a certain degree of dependancy on intimacy from a relationship. And just don't feel fulfilled from vanilla relationships :-( not to mention the occasional degradation for my interests.
