I dunno, he spoke to one of those racist Hispanic groups and told them "Mexicans were here before Americans."
America -1776- -Mexico -1821-
Was he talking about indians? He should have said, you need to get your illegal aliens packed and ready to return home to their own countries."
At what point do we start "considering" impeachment?
This guy is obviously not on " America's side" when he starts talking *shit* like that!
Please, no more "Brilliant Legal Scholors" in Washington thankyou very much!

Hey, you better check your history, HISPANICS (which includes Mexicans) were here before the Americans. You remember some guy named Columbus?

Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, California were all Spanish Colonies before they were parts of Mexico.

So, in essence he was right. 1519 us LONG before 1776.

Joether, you're voting "Democrat" in November? Look at the bright side, it'll be a short line. "Ok, all you Democrats step this way, ...Both of you."

I guess you will be voting for all the Independents running.

How many is that again?

This is just waht the GOP needs to do. Maybe now it will be not only the House, but the Senate to.

Before I have to pound my keyboard one more time would you please learn the difference between to and too?

servantforuse -> RE: GOP - Pledge to America (9/22/2010 7:33:31 PM)

Pound away, what do I care ?

servantforuse -> RE: GOP - Pledge to America (9/22/2010 7:37:24 PM)

If an extra 'o' upsets you that much, you might want to explore an anger management class. Schedule it for November. You will see a lot of fellow liberals there.

Clinton was impeached for lying to a Federal Grand Jury, not Congress.

Clinton was impeached because the GOP spent $80 million taxpayer dollars in a continuous witch hunt to try and discredit him.

Unfortunately Clinton did have some skeletons in the closet, but none that should have ever risen to the level it was taken.

And we are seeing the same thing now with Obama and the birther and socialist nonsense.

It does get irritating after seeing you do it time and again.

It is hard to take anyone seriously who does not even bother to check his own spelling.

If only the blue dress had been washed. Those cum stains are hard to get rid of.

Which means what?

He got a fucking blow job.

Maybe someday you can too.

What really cracks me up is those pompous, self-righteous assholes in the Republican party that condemned Clinton in the harshest terms then found themselves in their own sex scandals.

Can you say Dan Burton, Newt Gingrich, and Larry Craig?

Newt Gingrich's affrair took place during the time Clinton was being impeached. That's right, the Speaker of the House himself, doing the exact same thing, he's charging another guy of doing. Of course, none of us in America learned about this until a few years later.

This just keeps getting funnier, and scarier, that some people actually fall for this.

The GOP is trotting out the same policies that resulted in the economic collapse we are still suffering from.

The whole theme seems to be "well, we fucked up before but we won't do it again":

GOP 'Pledge' makes closing argument to voters

"Putting spending, putting the policy of economic growth in place and cleaning up the way Congress works is not only a stark contrast to this president and this Congress," said Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis. "It's a contrast to the way we conducted ourselves a decade ago. We spent too much money. We lost our way."

The plan steers clear of specifics on important issues, such as how it will "put government on a path to a balanced budget." It omits altogether the question of how to address looming shortfalls in Social Security and Medicare, which account for a huge portion of the nation's soaring deficit, instead including a vague promise: "We will make the decisions that are necessary to protect our entitlement programs."

So they're going to save money by spending more, again.

yep yep more of the same, yet repubs are gonna think its the best thing since sliced bread
of course everyone can wait for them to defund and then restart a better health reform package, right?
That trickle down theory  is still coming right??  tax cuts... thats gonna help people who live in poverty,  find a decent job to enable them to live like human beings in a first world country
yeah right

Moonhead -> RE: GOP - Pledge to America (9/23/2010 11:02:25 AM)

Just out of interest, are there any other first world nations that don't have socialised or subsidised medical systems at this point?
(Still, I'm sure Cameron will be doing away with ours shortly. And leaving Clegg to take the blame for it...)

tazzygirl -> RE: GOP - Pledge to America (9/23/2010 11:09:42 AM)

What countries on our good green Earth provide some sort of universal health care for their citizens? Here they are:

Afghanistan*, Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Cuba, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iraq*, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Ukraine and the United Kingdom

*Universal health coverage provided by United States war funding

There you go. Keep in mind: this is a simple list of countries that have some sort of publicly sponsored health care system. For instance, Sri Lanka may be far from having a true, working universal health care system like France, but prescription drugs are provided by a government-owned drug manufacturer. This qualifies as "some sort of publicly sponsored, universal health care system."
