Sprouts as is sprouting seeds that are highly nutritious and ready in a few days or those round green things that make you fart. The latter I keep away from unless happy to annoy someone, the former I sprout Alfalfa, mung beans and aduki beans. Sprouting is easy, anyone can do it and no special equipment is needed, although I started with just a glass jar covered with a muslin cloth, I now have a three tier dedicated sprouter and only that because I found it never used and still boxed in a charity shop for a whole quid, £15 less than they are to buy new.

Too late in the year to plant brussel sprouts. Which are delicious if split, tossed with butter and sea salt and roasted in a slow oven.

I've grown alfalfa and mung bean sprouts. It's really easy. The easiest way is to get a wide shallow pan and fill it about 2 inches with potting mix. plant the seeds and wait. You can plant very densely since you will thin as you harvest. Although you do want to use them up fairly quickly as they aren't god to eat after they get big. Of course if done inside under a grow light you can have a constant turnover every couple of weeks.

Nope, those are real, live chia seeds, which are wonderfully nutritious, and can be used to make a thickening gel.

Agrees with Des, altho I like to add cracked pepper to mine too
