May the spirit of the Season and day help bridge the gap between all peoples.

November 16, 2010 is what I find for the dates for this celebration this year, it seems to be about a week earlier each year.

You're two months early

DomYngBlk -> RE: Many Blessings for Kurban Bajram (9/9/2010 12:07:17 PM)

Bosnia.

Archer -> RE: Many Blessings for Kurban Bajram (9/9/2010 12:18:41 PM)

Well the Islamic calendar says it falls on November 16, 2010 even in Bosnia.

My source may not include everything and my knowledge falls short here but still something other than the BS reply of Bosnia is required to explain what the discrepency might be.

Now I am showing Eid al Fitr which is a name I see some use for the same holiday listed for tomorrow.

But that's just confussing,

DomYngBlk -> RE: Many Blessings for Kurban Bajram (9/9/2010 12:22:48 PM)

Well I will let my friends from Bosnia know that Archer said that they were wrong.

Jeffff -> RE: Many Blessings for Kurban Bajram (9/9/2010 12:23:00 PM)

Portugal.

DomYngBlk -> RE: Many Blessings for Kurban Bajram (9/9/2010 12:24:25 PM)

I misspoke, It is Ramadan Bajram. My humble apologies.

Archer -> RE: Many Blessings for Kurban Bajram (9/9/2010 12:27:46 PM)

OK now I'm seeing what's up Eid al Fitr is the holiday at the end of Ramadan. that is tomorrow. (Festival of Breaking the Fast)

You used the holiday Kurban Bajram also known as (Eid al Adha) which falls a short time after Ramadan in the Islamic calendar. (Festival of Sacrific)

Simple enough for any of us to mistake the names of holidays others celebrate especially when the names are in languages we know so little about.

Archer -> RE: Many Blessings for Kurban Bajram (9/9/2010 12:39:21 PM)

Only reason I caught it was because I googled it to see what the holiday was about.

But a happy Eid al Fitr to all who celebrate it
