Last week, I was on a business trip to Toronto, Ontario. Arrived in the evening and went to a hotel in Downtown Toronto. Across the street from the Hockey Hall of Fame. Of course, after a long day, I went directly to the bar for a drink. Immediately, I made the mistake … ordering a Labatt’s .. instead of a Blue! The bartender asked … “Where are you from”? I replied “Detroit”. The bartender then said … “Oh Detroit, home of the Spartans!” I was amused ... and surprised! The gentleman, next to me, from Edmonton, asked: “what is a Spartan”? After explaining, it is a university, about 100 miles (160 Kilometers) west of Detroit, he broke out laughing, shrugged his shoulders, and added “I would have said something different!” ROFL When I got home, coincidently, my cousin in Calgary called … she broke out laughing, when I related this story … and said … Everyone here knows … when you say Detroit ... it’s the Red Wings! Then she added … people in Toronto are just weird … now a days! So what do you think? AND are there any Hockey fans LEFT in Toronto?
