I'm pretty sure he meant it as a spoof of the Troll bashing threads, and it was just meant to be a silly joke. I don't think he was being hateful. There just seems to be so much negativity lately. I'm really wishing it would stop. It is getting to be a bit overwhelming, and kind of toxic.

Well, I'm guessing that I must have been wrong. The OP hasn't returned to tell us if he's received any hate mail or not. Maybe this is his day of the week for his volunteer work or other such endeavors to stand up for the underdog.
