I read several threads about no-limit slavery. I noticed that most of no-limit slaves said that they were no-limit because they know that their Master/Mistress will never ask them to reach extreme limits. So I would like to know if there are here some slaves who are deeply ready to obey their owners even beyond any limit. Totally. A bit like true religious zealots have no limits in their devotion to their God (for example: suicide bombers). Probably it is imaginable about sexuality (bestiality is not forbidden in a lot of countries…), but what about more, in the limits of human imagination? I think that clear and frank replies would be very instructive and place anyone in reality on the scale of M/s relationship... Personally, I can easily imagine a slave who is totally “no-limit” because she/he thinks that she/he is only the tool of her/his owner. Yet I think that even if simple injury is a limit for some of you, any testimony is here welcome, of course!

I think that in the absolute and literal sense there is no such thing as "no limits". I can absolutely come up with some command that NOBODY would or could obey. And if someone DID manage to obey it, then my imagination is sufficient to make it even more horrific. In the end, I would win (assuming we call that winning). if you cannot imagine such scenarios then you need a better imagination.

I am a Dom and I have limits. I tell them to a prospective sub. If any of them are must-haves for her, we're not a march. Then I address her hard limits. If they match mine, no issue. If any of my must-haves are hard limits for her, we discuss. If there's no way around, then I wish her well.

The term no-limit is thrown around much too often from what i'm reading and I am reading. I usually see it as the person is over eager that they don't know how much is out there that they may not like, so they believe by saying no limits that they're making themselves more appealing to a potential dom/domme. At first when I was a bit younger I used to say that and my second domme put me in my place and let me know the heavy implications behind those words. These days I don't have many hard limits because I like to be open with my domme in letting them know that I trust them to experiment and broaden my view on things. But i'm still not up to the point where I can so "No-Limits", makes me look like an ad in the back of the village voice.

We've done this type of thread several times over the years. The most notable responses were from no-limit slaves who stated that they would do such things as allow their Masters to remove limbs, jump off cliffs, drink Drano, kill others, give up children, etc. I think that all of those examples are far easier to claim a willingness to than it would be to do them in actuality though.

This pretty much sums up how I feel. For me the no-limits thing is less troublesome when applied to oneself. It's when it applies to others that really bothers me. If no limits is no limits, then wouldn't they kill a random person if told to? If I honestly felt that a person was truly no limits and would hurt me or others because their owner told them to, I can't imagine I would ever feel comfortable around them even if I knew that their owner wouldn't give the order. Obviously there are contexts where it makes sense (self-defense, etc) but really doesn't strike me as falling into a "no limits" heading since most people will act to defend themselves.

I think how Steven put it: " If any of them are must-haves for her, we're not a match." sums it up perfect from both sides. As time goes on, my limits in most areas change and evolve, what may be a hard limit now could be broken in the future with positive results. I have had people approach mer claiming to want to be my no limits slave to which casts them in a very poor light in my eyes. To me anyone who say they have no limits indicates they have abdicated personal responsibility for their own welfare and that is unacceptable. Someone who knows where their hard limits lie and which ones they are willing to expand tells me they know themselves well enough and that is what grabs my attention.

We may hope, we may choose to believe, but we can never ever "know" what the boundaries of another human will be from now until the end of time. Such hope, such belief, is, of course, the foundation of trust--which is why humans only trust those who can hurt them.

Even "real" slaves (in the glorious Romanic' times under dominica potestas) had limits. Sure you could train the these war captives to be obedient & subservient, tie the pretty ones up and whip their backsides until you broke their spirit, take a different buxom nymph to bed each night to teach 'em how to fall asleep with your cock warmed up in their mouth all night, force them to rim you clean every morning and to drink your pee for breakfast, twist their nipples just to see them flinch, encourage lactation so you can have fresh milk with those Wheaties, and then blithely send them out to the fields until you need 'em again. But even during those historic times, there were limits on the treatment of slaves as chattel. Festivals such as Saturnalia highlighted this, while Spartican uprisings brutally stamped out by Pompey made it painfully clear that even real slaves could be pushed only to their limits before they refused the tasks of their Masters.

IMO, there is no such thing as "no limits". There are broadly flexible limits, and to be honest, I've never had a servant in our household whose inherent boundaries came smack up against my commands, so I can't tell you how far those things would go. I think that the whole idea of "no limits" is really an expression of "I am comfortable allowing this person as much latitude as xhe desires in the management of our lives. I trust that hir boundaries and mine will not conflict in any truly heinous manner." Since most everything we do in the Fetish world is, technically, illegal, just the fact that we participate in things like flogging and bondage, etc,. is "breaking the law" for many... so the whole issue of legality is less foundational than the issue of compatible ethics/morality. For those who would maim, kill, steal, lie, cheat, etc., for their "owner" -- well, while I'm sure that they exist somewhere, in all honesty, I wouldn't want someone who could do those things around my family, so I doubt that I would ever have a servant who would be willing or able to serve to that extent. Any time I see a sub/slave that claims "no limits" I mentally toss em in the 'poser bin' and forget about em forever. There are WAY too many nice real folks out there to intereact with to worry about the fakes.

It indicates to Me that the sub isnt thinking about what she really wants, hasn't put thought into what she is getting into or maybe just isnt all that intelligent. I'm of an age where intelligence in a partner is more important than an awesome rack. Not that I dont look REALLY hard for both in one package LOL. Maybe I'm just too damn picky.

I won't -ask- for "no limits", but to be honest, I've had the pleasure of -working with- several servants who came to us -desiring- a "no limits" sort of situation. I also have to admit that I didn't -nearly- dismiss them out of hand. Rather, it occurred to me that these might be individuals who were particularly malleable and suitably flexible for a chaotic household like ours... grins I think it's a matter of perception. I'll tell a prospective servant right up that I don't believe in the concept of "no limits" -- but I'll tell them, at the same time, that I suspect that, together, we'll find out what their individual boundaries are, even if they have no idea right now what those boundaries might be. winks Calla

I'm sure there are a few people out there who are so without healthy boundaries that they would do anything, including kidnapping children for immoral purposes. Unlike the op, I don't find this admirable or desirable. Moreover a smart dominant would want a sub with strong boundaries so he doesn't wind up going to jail when he has that brain aneurysm and decides to commit such a heinous act.

I usually get arrogant and other things of that ilk. For the record, I do not want Carol second guessing my commands nor do I want her using her own sense of "right" and "wrong". I'd hope that she would've come to trust mine long before she agreed to give herself to me as property. And amazingly enough, in a wonderful example of calculated risk management, I'm willing to accept the risks that go along with the brain aneurysm (thanks for the correct spelling laughs) given the probabilities attached to those risks.

My limits are my Master's limits. I knew that when signing on but it works for us because our limits are similar. I wouldn't be with someone who was so different from me that I had to wonder if he'd try to actually kill or maim me.
