I think I care a bit too much for strangers that I don't want them falling into traps like that. But you're right OP is a big boy and he can handle himself, I said my piece to him through C-mail and that is as far as I would take that. As for my second response it was asking do people "like him" pop up on the message board so much that you're not phased by his actions. "Like him" being ignorant to the point of exhaustion, as if any more advice to him would be wasted breath because he has decided on his own what a submissive is to be. Granted I have only been here a week, i'm pretty active in the forums and I correspond with many nice people here via C-mail, so I guess I haven't been around long enough to see the gamut of people who come through here.

It may very well be "dead" for him, however, sometimes other people read these threads. Every now and then a newbie resurrectes a long gone thread and actually reads it. I have shut down more than one conversation with Doms after getting some stupid crap about how if they "accept" me, I will do yadda yadda uadda while at work and then tell them all about it ( the idea usually creeps up by the third or fourth email, about the time they want to pull the under consideration crap). Apparently, the "do stupid things at work to prove you're worthy" notion has a certain measure of popularity among the online wanker crowd.
