MattyP -> Hola all! (9/24/2004 11:44:43 PM)

Bonjour, A/all! I am an 18 year old caucasian boy who has come down from the beautiful mountains of NorthWest Montana to Tacoma, Washington. I have been a Dom online for many years now, and I was always so dismayed about how little there was in Montana. Go ahead and look. Last I saw, something like 2 or 3 days ago, there was ONE submissive female in in all of Montana. And that's the fourth largest state in our nation, folks. I have just finished a year-long relationship with a pet up in Toronto, Canada, and have begun to look into what's around me in the Tacoma area. Imagine how pleased I am to find so many things going on! So it is now my mission to incorporate myself into the local D/s scene and make up for lost time.

About my philosophy: I believe that men and women are equal in most ways. Obviously, as a matter of genetics and evolution, there are certain things that men are better at than women, and vice versa, but that's hardly what matters, is it? I believe that we are equal where it matters, and my Domination of female submissives isn't a matter of "Me man! Me big strong! Me put woman in rightful place!" D/s is simply the best way (I feel, anyways) that I can ensure that my partner is being well-cared for and protected. It is my choice to Dom her, and it is her choice to serve. As for the interaction itself, I believe that before the Master, it should be the pet's happiness that comes first (*gasp!*). I am very protective, and I will refuse to give orders unless I am sure that my pet is as happy as she can be, and then I can feel comfortable. This doesn't mean that I am a "wussy" Master. I am very strict in my rules and training, but I walk a fine line.

Well, I believe I have rambled for long enough. I sure look forward to talking with you all! :)

Hi from Issaquah. You sound very mature for an 18 yr old, hope you find what you want. If you aren't familiar with the Wetspot in Seattle you might want to check it out: wetspot

MattyP -> RE: Hola all! (9/25/2004 11:25:56 AM)

I saw the Wetspot while I was roaming about here, but I must confess that I don't really know what to think about it. Is it a BDSM organization, or simply a group that encourages sexual activity. What is its purpose?

And thanks for the maturity comment. If you meet me face to face, I can assure that I can act pretty juvenile (just ask the $40 nerf cannon that I bought just because :P), but I have always tried to live up to the standards of the D/s community where possible.

It's not exclusively BDSM, but they do have BDSM nights and seminars. My former Dom was a member but i was never able to go with Him. Their website should have a schedule of events. Try the link i posted in my last post to you.

Thank you very much for the link. I am most interested in going to attend these things, but I am afraid I will more than likely have to wait on it for a while. I do not have a car, and I do not wish to rush blindly into such things before sending out proper feelers. I hope to get to know at least a few D/s-minded persons to show me the ropes soon.

The Center for Sex Positive Culture (formerly the wetspot) - is the place you should go FIRST.  It's a safe environment to meet people.

Take the orientation class.   Plenty of Metro bus trips can get you there.  You don't even have to chose to become a member - the orientation is free.  Membership does carry a cost.  (however, I personally have found the cost versus the rewards to be a HUGE LIFE CHANGING value) :-)

Um, this thread is from 2004, Scotty.
