i just turned 21(woo-hoo, big deal) and frankly, i have no idea what to do with myself to celebrate in an exciting way. I've had NO sleep since 12:01am due to everybody and their mama(not a joke) calling me to wish me a happy birthday. While i deeply am thankful that they thought about me, i really just want a really good plate of buttery and garlic-y shrimp scampi, a glass of decent white wine, and to curl up with my boyfriend-instead of getting completely loaded and probably passing out in the middle of the street like all my friends who have turned 21 have done at some point or another. Yes, I'm quite dull, but its my birthday so i can do what i want. with that said, what did you do when you hit 21?

Well, I do know I was in the Army and at Ft Gordon then, so I am sure I did something fun. Thing is, I have no fucking clue what it was....dammit I am old. Sighs. eta Yay!!!! I aint the only old fuck who has lost brain cells!

I was working on my 21st. For me the big celebration was my 18th. Back in the day, the legal drinking age was 18 so, for my rite of passage, I was blindfolded by the guys and after some traveling by car, was lead into what ended up being a hotel/tavern way out in the boonies. I don't remember much after that but the guys said I developed a rather quick liking to rum n' cokes. Must be why my stomach jumps a bit, and not in a good way, when someone offers one up to me now.

Working :-( So I delayed the REAL celebration until my then-sub was back in town :-D, and celebrated separately with family. So, it's just an arbitrary date for a celebration of you and yours. Make it what you want; scampi and sex are an excellent beginning and end.

I was visiting home on my 21st and went out and partied a bit but not excessively. I'm also of an age where the 18th was the "big one"

I was recuperating from a C-section, after giving birth to my oldest son. Fun times [:)] edited to add: 18 was the big one for me too. Oddly, I have no memory of. I do have a vague recollection of a male stripper, the song "the Candy Man Can," and falling strongly in lust.

They changed the law the year I turned 18, and so I had to wait to be legal at 21. It wasn't a big deal by then because I was living in Germany. I took a long weekend and visited Heidelberg and stood on the (reputed to be!) world's largest wine cask. If memory serves, I think it was 12,000 gallons. I also had an (brief) adventure that weekend that I WON'T relate!! I ought to write that adventure down before it's lost for good (Greedy and I are in the same ballpark agewise)!!. HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY!!!! Enjoy the scampi!! ETA: Thank you for asking the question, it reminds me I wasn't always so routine!!!

On my 18th birthday I went to a live wrestling event with my dad, it wasn't televised but I was happy to go and after we saw tommy dreamer and I held off gushing like a fan long enough for him to mention where he trained. The gym just happened to be in NYC so I went to check it out and got started learning professional wrestling like a week later.

Happy 21st [:)] I was incredibly sneaky and told my parents that instead of a 21st party wanted an around the world ticket instead so they bought one for me to use later in the year. [:)] As my birthday got closer however I casually asked if it would be ok to have just a couple of my uni friends over...and the couple became half a dozen...then a dozen..... until I had about 100 people over for a huge party at home ha ha

21st Birthday...I had a couple celebrations for that one. The night of, I ended up in a bar with my mom, uncle, and a couple friends just shooting the breeze, drinking, and laughing. I know sometime around (before or after my bday)that same time, some friends and I went to this goth club and listened to some REALLY bad bands, and then went to a local band's house and partied there till we saw cop cars making their way up the mountain, followed by IHop. And one of the less rowdy celebrations was a friend invited me to his house for breakfast, made me get into his bed and I got breakfast in bed with a side of video games and snuggling. Good times...

My 21st birthday was spent with my then two month old son and a huge stack of nursing books. My 18th birthday was spent in a club in Myrtle Beach... ah... sweet sweet memories... both of them!

We had training that evening when I was still 17 and many of that club went with me to a bar where we had a nice couple of hours together...then when it came towards midnight they put me into the embarrassing situation to sing for me starting off a line from a german song which says (17 years, blond hair)...followed by the birthday song. that lead to it that I received a bottle of champaigne from that bar as well to honour me reaching adulthood. I earned the princely sum of $4.85 an hour (rent was only $125/month). Life was good then. And simple. The 21st birthday? Not much. I've never been much for birthday celebrations and was single then.

At home, drinking My very first legal alcohol purchase all by Myself.. (it was a pint of blackberry brandy. I'd taken My ID down the street to the liquor store, all proud of Myself, and grabbed a bottle of something I'd already had before and knew I could stand. The clerk was a goober and didn't even card Me, which I wanted him to of course since I was now legal and had the ID to show for it. I was so pissed..) [&:]
