ORIGINAL: Missokyst about 2 or 3 weeks ago I was extremely ill with flu-like symptoms, listlissness, body aches, tossing up my cookies, and eliminating them in other ways, even though I did not eat anything for the 3 days it was at its peak. I rarely get sick and this one was worse than anything I have felt. No part of me could tolerate anything more than water for 3 of those days. Since the illness has passed, I still cannot eat like I used to. It takes me about 3 hours to consume something as easy as a sandwich. My stomach is stll sore, and looks a bit swollen. It feels like I have been holding in my muscles for hours at a time without rest, but it looks like I am deliberately pushing my belly outward. I know I have something but since I don't have insurance it will take me a bit of time to eliminate all possibilities. I went to the doctor on Monday, and though he gave me meds for a bladder infection, he told me there was no sign of an infection beyond my symptoms. 107 bucks later it will be at least 2 weeks before I can take that hit to my bank account again. What concerns me most right now is the fact that I have not lost one pound during the flu, the no eating, the less than 1000 calories which I can now tolerate in my system without needing to puke it up. Shouldn't I be losing weight? Has anyone else had very little caloric intake without losing? If you have curtailed your physical activity then you could be not losing weight despite the "dieting."
