Good. Make the bitch do community service at a pet shelter, THEN throw her ass in jail for life.

Really disturbing story on NPR today. The fucks in Iran are arresting people who walk their dogs in public. I fucking hate fanatics, but those snake-scum sick evil coprophiliac goat-ass-eating fucks in Iran take the cake. I wish on them incurable syphilis, leprosy, polio, Crohn's, and flesh-eating bacteria. All at the same time, and all severe and chronic. And, on top of that, I wish them immortality.

I got Nala in May........as of this last Saturday I have spent over $ 400.00 on a 'FREE' dog. Fortunately I knew about these expenses before I agreed to take the dog and have been saving and sacrificing other things I would have loved to have/do. Like a trip to Chicago....

There is no such thing as a 'free' pet.

Bless you. And I sincerely mean that.

This and worse is commonplace. Volunteer or work at a shelter and the stories will horrify you.

I'm not sure I have the heart. It tears me up to hear things like this. When I get my foot fixed, I'm going to give some of my time to one of the shelters here. But I can't listen to any of the stories. I'm too emotional on this subject. I'd be crying all the time. Ain't enough Prozac in the world to deaden me to that suffering, and I'd end up in jail for assault if I ever caught up to anyone who abused an animal like that.

And people wonder why I despise most people. 80% of humanity is Shite, and that's being generous.

Absolutely. I'd kill that crazy bitch. I also wouldn't put my cats in harms way either, they stay inside, away from traffic, other predatory creatures and crazy people like that. Makes me sick.

It disgusts me how she says "Just a cat".  Compared to creatures like her, that cat should be revered.  Cats don't do shit like that to eachother, so they're already on a much higher level that that lady.  As far as being on levels of "humanity", we're actually at the bottom rung.  No other animal on the planet would ever dream of doing something like that just for shits and grins.  Fucking sickening.

Let's get a... hmmm... comparatively speaking it would be what, about a 30' tall garbage bin, toss that bitch in and leave her for... hmmm...  90 hours.  After all, on average, for a cat, 15 hours to us is about 90 to them.  And pick a random day when we don't know if the garbage collection is coming by within that span or not.  That would be a funny joke too, no?

A suggestion, HK. Volunteer with a rescue group or no kill shelter. You will still hear the stories, but it's easier when the animal who lived them is now safe and you can care for them. After getting my beautiful pit girl Nala (dumped by some motherfucker on a deserted road in the back hills at 9 months old, and nearly dead when rescued) from a local rescue group, I spent the next 3 years as a volunteer. I handled 'adoption weekends' and transports for the dogs and cats in the rescue's care, doing some training with the dogs to make them more adoptable. Had I lived alone, I would have offered to provide foster care for dogs and/or cats waiting for a home, but that was not possible.

Most rescues and no kill shelters will jump at anyone who is willing to volunteer their time, even if it is just to get the dogs/cats out of their kennels for a walk or some play and socialization. If you are up for feeding/watering/kennel cleaning type duties as well, you will be welcomed with open arms for sure!

ETA- I'm fairly sure that the piece of human garbage who dumped my Nala as a pup would have said 'It was just a dog' had he been caught. There was nothing 'just' about her. She shared my life for over a decade and was one of two amazing canines that I had the honor of calling my own.

wildfiresubmiss -> RE: Cat (and other pet) owners beware (8/27/2010 3:06:49 AM)

Whoops! If she got in written trouble for saying MOTHER F-RRRR, can I have a spanking please? Cause I am thinking a WHOLE LOT WORSE than MOTHER F-RRR!!!!

People are SUPPOSED to be the MOST intelligent species on this planet! They are the MOST insane, outrageous, disrespectful, murderous, vile creatures sometimes that ever graced the earth!

I ask you, How intelligent is is that we build bombs that could destroy the earth 20 x over or if some small portion of nuclear material got into the atmosphere could annialate a city block? We think because we are given Degrees of Achievements at colleges around the nation that we are intelligent. There is nothing worse than an educated fool and he'll be the one to tell you that animals can't think like we do, don't feel like we do and don't matter like we do.

Maybe this woman was "educated" by the idiots who want human domination over the earth.

Morons, kill all the animals off and HUMANS are going to follow.

I HATE animal or child abusers!

I LOVE ALL animals even ones that scare me half to death like sharks for instance. But Dogs and Cats are my favorites. I used to rescue cats years ago. I had 45 and they were ALL well cared for! Lived the life of kings and queens little darlings. I HATE that show on tv called Animal Hoarding. They try to make it sound like the person who cares about the animals is mentally ill and then they encourage them to get rid of their animals. Yeah, let's just kill them all right?! God forbid a human being have a heart and want to help something that can't help itself. Maybe if people would spay and neuter their pets we wouldn't have to kill any. DUUUUHH!

My ex was an abuser and he punched me in the mouth 3x before his ass went to jail. Dummy me took him back on his WORD that he would get counseling and that the court would supervise. NEVER happened. One day he picked my PRECIOUS little ANGEL BABY--Gizmo, 7-1/2lb. Toy Fox Terrier up and pushed him up against the wall scaring Gizmo. I looked that man DEAD in his face and told him to VERY CAREFULLY and VERY GENTLY place Gizmo on the floor immediatedly! Then I told him if he EVER did ANYTHING to EVER make that dog so much as flinch or move an eyelash out of place in fear, that I would slit his sorry throat from ear to ear and bathe myself in his blood as I watched him die!

I DON'T PLAY when it comes to my babies. And Gizmo is my BABY BOY! He is the shit! Love me, love my dog or there is the door and don't let it hit you in the ass on the way out!

Can I get an AMEN?!!!

Shelters do love volunteers! Even if just someone that can come in and play with the cats or help tidy up. I've voluteered for several shelters over the years and worked with many larger, aggressive, dogs to help make them more adoptable. Just know, that if you (anyone reading this) does volunteer, you will have to harden yourself to wanting to bring all of the special ones home (this is how animal hoarding can begin) and also, to know, going in, that there WILL be heartbreaking moments. Wonderful animals that, for some reason or another must be put down. Delightful babies that you know have suffered at the hands of another.......but cannot take action personally. Perhaps even knowing of a person that is not treating their animals the way you feel they should, but local animal control officers found no reason to remove the animals.

Alot of the above will depend on the shelter, animal control in the area, and the other people you are working with. It CAN be a VERY political little organization. Often run by strong willed women that are sure they know what's best........regardless of what anyone else says. Running a shelter can be an emotionally draining job, sometimes the managers show the strain in weird ways.

I certainly do not want to discourage anyone at all. Just want people to go into it with eyes wide open. You have to focus on the sucesses and happy stories.

No, but they do sometimes eat or  kill their young. and sometimes for no apparent reason.[8D]

Toppingfrmbottom -> RE: Cat (and other pet) owners beware (8/27/2010 4:56:54 PM)

Some of the people who were caring for hoards and hoards of animals , were mentally ill, or at the very worst, unable to care for said animals properly, and a lot of them were very sick, and dying, or dead and nobody noticed them gone missing because  there was just to many to notice one or two sick or dead ones.  And not every single animal of a hoarders will be put to sleep once animal control takes them away, if they're to sick to heal, or have something seriously wrong with them, that they're not adotpable, then yes, some will be put to sleep, but it's not automatically, oh hey we're killing all the animals you've hoarded and now can't take care of, or we're taking them away because you own to many and don't have a special liscence to keep this many animals.

I applaud you for taking very good care of every single one of your 45 cats, but not every one can or does.

It's too bad she didn't get hold of one of my pet lovebirds.  If she had, she'd think twice before ever harming another animal.  It's not for nothing that we nicknamed the little darling "birdzilla"  [:D] [sm=evil.gif]

Mistletoe -> RE: Cat (and other pet) owners beware (8/27/2010 10:08:55 PM)

As a former VP of our local animal rescue group...I have seen it all..the good  and the bad. Until we received our non profit status all we had was our wonderful volunteers to help us. It is very hard work and some days all you do is go home and cry. In the end if you can make just one abused animal last hours better or help save one to a new home..it is all worth it.

As far as that nasty bitch..she deserves to be locked in a trash can on a hot day for how ever many hours the poor cat was in there. When her time was up I would volunteer to flog the skin off her ass.
