FR: when I opened this thread, I did *not* expect to see such nasty flaming of a perfectly tasty foodstuff! Mmmmm, asparagus...

Also, LP, BoiJen: for the love of unbesmirched computer screens GET ADBLOCK PLUS. Then when you see an individual image you don't like, you can right click it, click to block it, and then POOF! Gone forever [:D]

The last thing I need is for my parents to visit and see me keeping some starved ho in a cage eating asparagus.

ROFL!

Well, If you really want to break someone down, lock them up and give them nothing but lima beans. I think I would opt to eat warm wet cardboard before that. But it's all this locked in a cage starving stuff that is really getting to me. I would think that if I were going to keep some lovely young flower caged up for my amusement, (which actually, I must admit, sounds kind of appealing), I would want to keep them well fed and full of energy. Mostly, for the obvious reason of getting better play out of them, but also, I don’t find a girl that looks like an emaciated North Korean very attractive. Now keeping someone in a cage and denying them sleep is a wholly different matter. That can get interesting really quickly.

If you don't mind them finding you an unattractive ass. Some of us get mean when sleep deprived. And you really don't want to get bit.

Regardless, the same thing comes into play as keeping them underfed. You have to do all the work. Because unfed or without sleep, the person isn't going to be able to operate on all wheels. So you do all the cooking as they won't be able to handle a knife. You do all the driving, so they don't kill themselves and others when they nod off. And you deal with them angry and crying and wanting to leave forever if it will just get them some sleep.

OttersSwim -> RE: Often wondered how this can be... (8/20/2010 7:16:10 AM)

Wouldn't it just be easier to have a goldfish?

praetorian1974 -> RE: Often wondered how this can be... (8/20/2010 7:25:50 AM)

I can see you're point DesFip. I'm just merely pointing out the fact that starvation destroys the body and can have long term health consequences. Believe me; I've spent my time undergoing extreme sleep deprivation. It is certainly not pleasant, but it is something that can be recovered from. Personally, I don’t see the need to lock someone up in a cage and deprive them of anything. That is a little to extreme for me, but I guess I can see the appeal for others.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Often wondered how this can be... (8/20/2010 7:29:25 AM)

For some, it's a hot idea---the deprivation piece, I mean. The cage to me is a whole other thing, serious FUN.

Cherylmazana -> RE: Often wondered how this can be... (8/20/2010 7:31:01 AM)

Anyway asparagus makes your pee smell bad, and if she’s locked in a cage you’re going to be the one emptying the chamber pot eeewwww.

Cheryl

The cage part is hot. I don't want to get into that too much seeing as I need two hands to type. (just disgusting, huh)

For me, the line between play and torture is clearly defined though. I would rather have someone look at me in wonder rather than fear. I do respect others needs though, and always try to accept people where they are coming from.

praetorian1974 -> RE: Often wondered how this can be... (8/20/2010 7:37:59 AM)

Yuck, Cheryl, yuck. Well put.

OttersSwim -> RE: Often wondered how this can be... (8/20/2010 7:41:01 AM)

You could get a cat to torture the goldfish...drop a beta into the tank and put a thin piece of plexy between them...feed the beta another goldfish...

Ah, endless hours of fun...and you can go to work!

That's the irrational knee-jerk take on it.

Now for something rational..

Of course he would have to do all of those things if they were in a situation like that. Some people enjoy that kind of kink. I'm not one of them but that's besides the point. I would think it would be that way for you as well but it rarely seems it is..

A "little" sleep deprivation and/or especially food restriction isn't always a bad thing.

I have a similar problem as you with food. I have to eat or I get grumpy..Yet I've restricted my diet and...Low and behold I'm still here..Whaaaaaaa you say? It's all true...See I'm typing this now..

I don't believe anyone is talking about an Ethiopian style love affair.

Exactly. Though it's funny, I have gotten requests for torture type stuff, and the guys are always amazed when I mention stuff like IV's, and needing medical supplies, and a baby monitor. HELLO! You wanted to walk away from the scene, didn't you? Did you REALLY think that I would tie you in that position and ACTUALLY LEAVE THE BUILDING?? Cripes.

There are a lot of people who just don't get the notion of creating an illusion of fear. That "what if" is exciting, but when it comes down to it, my playmates know that they are going to be laughing about it over coffee the next day, and checking out the marks in the bathroom mirror.

A little fear can be invigorating in a dynamic. How do you think people will take that remark :>..I understand what your saying though.

I applaud your positive spirit but you'll probably soon see that giving some people quarter like that will backfire.

praetorian1974 -> RE: Often wondered how this can be... (8/20/2010 7:50:38 AM)

My parents recently adopted a Pitbull from an animal shelter. Beautiful animal. The only problem is that it cowers anytime you raise your voice to it. It was obviously beaten in the extreme, and now it is a ruined creature. It's not very appealing, and would be even less appealing in a woman.

The illusion of fear is a great thing. Power is only a matter of perception.

Dude. Did someone pay you to say that? You DO understand that we hate all new folks and rip them to shreds, right? Sheesh, blowing our cover... ~grumble~ next thing you'll be saying that you don't see the Hot Happening Clique Action that is blocking you out!

My outlook, if you will allow me my two cents, is that training a sub is no different than training a private. You take something that is all potential, and make it into something that is beautiful, and has great purpose. Kind of like working with metal. The more you hammer and temper it, the finer the product in the end. Pound it too hard though, and it will just break. Just my creed, so to speak. Holds about as much water as a napkin in the grand scheme of things though.
