Myles, women don't answer with a no thanks because what we inevitably get in return is a) your too fat to fuck (sic) or b) I hope you die or c) some variation on a and b. Now just maybe you might not respond like that, but five out of ten men do. Since it is very upsetting to see a death threat in your email, it's a lot easier on the psyche to not respond and not get them. No response is a response.
Beyond that, when you email someone you don't know, that's called spam. If you think it's rude not to respond to spam, then am I to assume you answer all those 'enlarge your penis' ads with a polite no thanks? And if not, then why complain when others do the same thing you do.
Go to munches, hang out on the boards and show yourself to be a likable fellow. Make friends.
Oh and if you're checking online romance that says you're married and lying to your wife. Nobody wants to be the other woman.
