I had heard a while ago that he was in "talks" with the AI people. Ellen CHOSE not to return, she was not fired. She couldn't handle saying bad things, lol. Just because someone doesn't have a recording contract doesn't mean they know nothing about music (that was for DomImus). For those who don't like Ellen, that's peachy, but she was a pretty decent judge and she was a good voice of the public.
The GREAT news about American Idol? I have heard that Kara DioGuardi is out, fired, kicked to the curb! Her condescending attitude towards the contestants, always talking about "wanting to know who they were," and calling them "sweetie" all the time made me want to vomit. I know that she supposedly has a resume that includes writing some big hits for others, but really, I can't be the only one who realizes that she went to writing because she couldn't make it as a performer herself. Let's also not forget that the song she wrote for Kris Allen was SO bad on the tour that is was pulled and never released as a single.
