I'm going to a slave auction in a couple weeks and I'm a bit nervous. Has anyone ever attended one of these? I'll be one of the slaves up for auction and I'm wondering what to expect.

*laughs* I don't know, but I gotta admit I'm curious as hell. I'm assuming that the "slaves" are "auctioned off" for some set period of time (as opposed to placed into a permanent home)??

I saw one at a GLLA event 4 years or so ago. It was an absolute hoot! Folks had all sorts of things auctioned: computer work, house work, play, sex, all sorts of things. All were negotiated; for instance, some said that the owner must be present, and there were defined times and locations negotiated. I didn't see "thou shalt serve me for a year and a day, and sup upon only bread and water."

With a good auctioneer, this can provide hours of entertainment!

Yes, I've attended them and I'm running one in October. (It's a different one than the one that you are attending. The written handout for Mine is on this thread. http://www.collarchat.com/m_3317024/tm.htm )

I've had a great time with these in the past. However, I would ask the event organizer for the one you are attending what to expect. What I'm doing at another event may be completely different than what will happen at the one you attend.

i was at a slave auction in agusta and it was a absolute blast, at least for the slaves. the one i attended was for a charity and raised a great deal of money for it. i met many new folks and learned new things and just had fun the entire time. for your auction ask the presenter what to expect. i was a deserter from war and others had similar persona's. it was a real fun time. enjoy your first auction it should be a very memorable time.

It's officially only for an hour during the party. But if the Mistress and newly bought slave hit it off, it could be for a lifetime.

That's neat... and I'll just make the assumption that somehow boundaries and limits are handled for the one hour. I can see that as being great fun.

The whole little thing Clip presented with "bad person persona's" for some roleplay background also sounds like fun. And LP, thanks for relinking that other auction post. I remember reading that when you put it up and thinking, "Now that sounds like great fun."

The role play part of the ones that I do is to enhance the fun part of the evening. When the folks up for auction take on their character for the role play, it also helps create their limit structure. I also read their hard limits with them present before the bidding on them begins. This is backed up by the slave wranglers who have the additional duty of being the DMs for the evening.

For example, for this one coming up, one of My 'slaves' for the auction is a captured virgin who was taken away the night before her wedding. (Meaning no sexual contact and she can't have showing marks from play.) Another is My barbie who has been spoiled by too many accessories and toys all of her life (soft play only) who needs to learn how to serve drinks and get some of the 'spoiled' out of her by doing menial tasks.

People have a great time at these things. (Though I will correct clip, as the last auction that he participated in wasn't for charity. I think he has that confused with another event.) It gives everyone a chance to play along as much or as little as they are comfortable with. Darn shame you and Carol are so far away. I think you'd have fun.

Actually, I was reviewing the idea and I decided I should sell her to merc instead as a kitchen slave (which would differ from what she did last time without being sold... how? *laughs*).
