I would rather eat and sleep on the floor then ever buy another piece of that shit again.

I bought a few pieces for my daughter years ago and spent an annoying fucking afternoon putting it all together.

I will never cheap out on the slight premium it costs for a "normal" nightstand, bed frame and kitchen table again.

IKEA is what it is and meets a certain quality/price point. Three pages of people bitching about it for what it is not is irrelevant. A Chevy Cobalt is not a Ferrari. Bitching because the former is not the latter is pointless.
