Hyde -> site/account support needed (8/7/2010 7:05:09 PM)

As I cannot find a contact anywhere this seems like the best place.

situation:

Since a few days (could be three, could also be five or so) I cannot log in to my account here anymore. I know the password I use is correct. Still does not work.

When I use "forgot password" I never get an email.

For some reason I cannot even register a NEW account. (tried that to be able to contact support. Kinda funny when you need support for login issues, and the only way to reach them is by logging in..). Everytime I try to register I get "verification string does not match". It really does match (at least the significant majority of the attempts).

Already tried other pc, other browsers, cleaning cookies, the works.

And when user id's are unique here, this is also quite interesting:

That is not quite my location and neither did I register just a few days ago. I registered years ago in 2004.

Fortunately, my board account apparently still works so I can share my mystification and flabbergastedness.

pointers to my ignorance/stupidity or just plain help appreciated!

You're not going to like the answer.

Will it let you send me a PM by clicking on the "PM" under my name?

Try using another computer to setup a new account and then send a message to Support.

I think one of his CM cookies is screwed up. If I was there I could get them all off, or perhaps sort ny date and get back to when the problem occurred. Maybe. But since I am not there............

Think about the sites you get on and think about the login. If you can manually login to all of them you can just delete all the cookies. Otherwise just delete all he ones that have collarme or collarchat in them. Better remember your passwaord at that point. I click it and get on immediately and I know that is due to a cookie. But it can be recreated quickly.

I think it's worth a crack.

That is not the issue.  This needs to be discussed privately with the user.

New account created from a computer where I have never used collarme before and support request done.
