Amazing.    Hmm.    During the story I can picture this- as stuff happens- but one line jumped out at me.

I wont give it away-  I am sure when you see it - -- the punchline is clear.

Poor women, her 'real, one true love' [&o] How could he do that to her, doesn't he know that real, and one true love means it's forever ?

On a serious note, while I would be devestated to find out my husband is gay, not because he was gay, but because he covered it up. I would never act the way she did, the yelling etc.

Of course him feeling the need to cover it up is a sad indictment of how hard it still is, even today, to be openly gay.

This is why I am a proponent of tolerance and rights for gay people. I don't want a man to marry me because he is in the closet... I don't want to be married to someone that feels he has to have sex in park bathrooms risking my health and his because he can't accept himself... and this is the type of thing that happens when people can't accept their true nature

I agree.

I am not sure even what he has to gain by lying.   It isnt like it is 1953

and you are correct about the careless sex- It is not fair to the wife.  The man in this article tho- is not "lost" or "confused", he is purposely deceiving others.

I guess arseholes come in all shapes and sizes and sexual orientations.

You do have a valid point that he is purposely deceiving others.

However, I would still be inclined to think that while yes he is being a dick, it is simply 'easier' for him to be straight rather than gay, due to pressures still applied to people.

The man said you are going to ruin me.  Meaning whether he had something to lose or not.  He felt he had.
Being married keeps the suspicion off of him so it would only be natural he marries another woman.

I know a lesbian who does this.  No matter what she stays married and when it ends she gets married again.

Also depending on where you live in the country it may make a difference.  A huge one.  I know here in the midwest people
are not so kind to homosexuals.  Transgendered people...they don't even want to meet you period.  Out of fear.

It is true that some areas are very -- -- -- well- closed minded.

Even where I now live- I dont confirm or deny.   I have tho seen rainbow flags in the area.    Not on me.

Kinda funny seeing a man at the park- then at the store with his wife.... particularly when the lady is hot looking.

Sad story for the woman involved.

On a seperate note, if you ever get the feeling your man is mostly driven by trying to have sex with you (directly or indirectly), you can sleep well knowing you are highly unlikely to have this problem.

How many times have we heard something along the lines:
"I want a man who is kind, understanding, gentle, likes to listen to me, shares my passion for decorating rooms and understands that OUR LOVE is more important than anything physical."
I often reply: "So you want to marry a gay man?"

Little did I know this actually happens to people. [&o]

It does make sense that a closet-ed gay man would have a beautiful looking wife and behave like a perfect husband, because he would be overcompensating like crazy in fear that someone would question his sexuality.

We had a case back home about 5 years ago where the woman discovered that her husband is gay once she had 12 or 13 children with him. He tried to cover it up with just keeping her pregnant and once she was he then cowardly claimed that he won't have sex with her whilst she is carrying his child....well, at some point that excuse didn't quite work anymore and he finally was man enough to be honest about what is going on since over a decade [8|]

Happened to a former co-worker of mine, and as she is a devout Catholic it really messed with her head but he was too and she eventually got to understanding why he hid it.

Some do, some don't just like everything else in the world.  I knew a woman who had a sex change in Cali, very good friend of mine.  Anyway he was born a man, got married had 2 kids.  Divorced then had the change done.  Got re-married to a man.

You do what society tells you to do whether you like it or not. 

Don't worry PA, if you were in the midwest you wouldn't stick out any more than anyone else.  If you're not white here you don't belong.  Sick but true.  Pretty much everybody here is racist against everything but white.

You know what bugged me?

That she seemed to think up till he said he would never tell her that she could somehow change the fact that he liked to sleep with men.

What was there to FIX? and what is strange is how often I hear about this happening.

This is not uncommon.
