....and still haven't found the answer I'm looking for. Perhaps someone more experienced can assist?

Someone has added me to thier favorites (I think thats what it means) as my Admirers thingy is lit up. I should be honored and all, however, I have never had any contact with this person either here on the boards or over on the other side, and...uhmmm....even stranger is the fact that this person is so far off the spectrum of what Id be looking for if I were looking. It kind of spooks me out that someone can be "watching" me without my consent. Is there anyway I can remove myself from this list?

I do not believe you can control who finds your profile appealing enough to favorite it.... which is basically what the person did, they favorited you... Now, how can you control this? I mean, if they couldn't favorite you within CMs control, they can always bookmark your page if they wanted...

I have been here for a few years, there are pages and pages of people who have favorited me, I don't care, if I did I would close my profile

The only thing you can do is hide your profile.

You gave consent when you joined the site and created a profile.

You can click to see who is on your admirers list, then click on their profile from there and you will see "Settings for this user". You can click "Blocked" and then "Save Changes".

Blocking someone does not keep them from seeing you, it only keeps them from contacting you...

At least I think that is the way it works. I have looked at profiles that blocked me, you know, those assholes that send you emails like "you are not a submissive, get off this site you bitch", and then I look at their profile and try to email them and they have me blocked.

I dont mind people peeking in, it was just odd that there is nothing in common with the admirer and I, and not even a "hello"

They may have seen something in your posts that they liked, it might not be connected to your profile.

Admirers will generally see when you were last on line. You do have the option of hiding that.
Unfortunately, you can not delete admirers as far as I know. There are a few in my list that creep me out too.

On occasion I will use the Favorites feature as a site bookmark for when I'd like to send a reply to the owner of a profile but don't have time at that moment to write out a decent one. It could be that I found something of interest in their profile text, something in their journal entries piqued my interest, or they have an interesting photo or two. Basically, I have used this feature in much the same way as I would use a web browser's bookmark/favorite links feature... as a temporary reminder to follow up on action of some sort.

But, that's how I use the feature. Many others may not use it for that purpose. I just wanted to bring to light how I use the feature, in case my name appears in anyone's Admirers list.

I have since received a message from this person. I believe she is seeking my credit card, and that of anyone else
that may be online at the moment, to purchase her "services" The copy and paste was typo free though, a first!

Um, you *do* realize this is the internet, not a monastery, correct?

Just block them so you don't have to worry about them ever finally coming out of the woodowork and sending you the invariably creepy email.

Besides the admirers thing is just a list you're on. You're only as special as whoever else is attractive and doesnt seem to be a fake. They're not privy to any extra info on you.
