I was a fan of The Illusionsit and The Prestige.

For Fantasy I have always been a Fan of Legend, The Dark Crystal and Labriynth.

Another vote for the old Harryhausen stuff, plus:
Angel Heart
The Navigator
Conan The Barbarian
Star Wars (don't tell me that's science fiction: it's a fairy story in space)
Highlander
Big Trouble In Little China
Mister Vampire
Zu Warriors From The Magic Mountain
Wicked City
The Company Of Wolves
Hellraiser
And I'll have The princess Bride as well...

I'm not sure if this fit's in, but my son & I love the: Dead movies...Night of the Living dead, Dawn of the dead, Day of the dead, etc all the Dead movies by George Romeo. Now my favorites are all the House of Gord movies. My fantasy is to be one or all of those females. My lifetime favorite is Clockwork Orange.

Bill Campbell kicks ASS!! Ok, we'll ignore the fact he is a clansman of mine..

Clockwork Orange I wouldnt classify as a "magic' movie. more a psych thriller

I knew I'd forgotten something.
There's Hawk The Slayer as well...

I am surprised to see that no one has yet mentioned LadyHawke.

Also, I liked Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, The Witches.

I think Young Sherlock Holmes fits in with this genre...

and there are magical elements in Like Water for Chocolate, Chocolat and Amelie.

My very first introduction to magic in movies was Mary Popins.

My favorites would have to be:

Harry Potter series
Lord of the Rings series
Twilight series
Frightners (creepy but awesome movie imo)
Princess Bride
The Matrix series

I know I missed a bunch. LOL

I'm a little surprised no one mentioned Barbarella....I mean...c'mon, Jane Fonda, skimpy outfit, sex machine?

It's not my favorite, but I felt it deserved a mention :)

Legend, Dark Crystal and Corpse Bride have to top my list..though I hear the Depp/Burton combo is in line for a remake of Wizard of Oz, so I may have to change my list later on down the road.
