One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest was just on AMC.  It's been so long since I had seen it, it was like watching it for the first time all over again.  I didn't even remember that they took a boat ride.  Still, that movie was/is one of the best movies I've ever seen.  Wow, and there were so MANY great actors in it!  Danny DeVito, Brad Dourif, Christopher Lloyd.  Even Anjelika Huston was in it!
First things first,I won't watch many movies on AMC since they went commercial...thought I did catch that broadcast of One Flew...,the other day.Do you happen to know who the young co-producer of that movie was ? Michael Douglas...who happened to have a friend named Danny Devito...hence his role in the film.
TMC is by far the better movie channel....movies as they are meant to be seen...uninterrupted,save when you choose to pause to fix some popcorn [:D].

These past two threads with actor names are freaking me out because I am like, "Did Samuel J die? Okay nope.

Oh no, did Jack split?

Nope, Oky doky.

Jack is awesome, he got Prince to do the music to Batman.

Samuel is really cool. I passed him on the street once and kinda sighed "Cool" as I walked by and he replied, "How you doin?"

I practically know him.

Heath is awesome.

Yay hot soulful actors!

Lve -> RE: Jack Nicholson (7/31/2010 3:47:55 AM)

Jack's version of The Joker were more like the comics where Heath's performance was plain and boring for me.

I have new favorite movie - Inception

slvemike4u -> RE: Jack Nicholson (7/31/2010 6:10:35 AM)

Inception was cool..... write me on private mail if you like and let me know if you thought a certain something did or didn't do what a certain something was supposed to do(don't want to spoil it for anyone. else [:)])

LOL, Sorry about that! I was bored the other night, and noticed that 3/5 movies lined up on the nightstand had Samuel J in them, hence the thread [:D]

I love Jack Nicholson. The Shining is probably my favorite, because I'm also a Stephen King fan. Besides, he was just so creepy in that one!

dcnovice -> RE: Jack Nicholson (7/31/2010 1:49:29 PM)

Love Jack, really. But Cesar Romero was the ultimate Joker.

Louve00 -> RE: Jack Nicholson (7/31/2010 2:09:47 PM)

Yea, I really like Jack Nicholson too...and The Shining is probably one of my favorites too, because Jack's can play the part of a crazy man real well.  And he had the perfect devilish grin for Witches of Eastwick.  I believe you guys also let another one slip by that he did with Adam Sandler?  Anger Management? (which goes back to how good he can play the part of a maniac lol)

areallivehuman -> RE: Jack Nicholson (7/31/2010 2:47:32 PM)

My favorite from Easy Rider

"You know this used to be a hell of a good country............

.... They're going to talk to you and talk to you...

... about individual freedoms.

But they see a free individual,
it's going to scare them. "

Can't comment on either Batman movie.

Lucylastic -> RE: Jack Nicholson (7/31/2010 4:18:55 PM)

that evil face, ....hot and makes me twitch at the same time..
I enjoyed all his movies, altho I havent seen him in anything since anger management he is awesome actor, and gets better looking with age, damn his eyes.
Enjoyed watching him since the 60s, yummy man..shame he isnt submissive, but all that evil glee is yummy on him

SorceressJ -> RE: Jack Nicholson (7/31/2010 4:24:15 PM)

Jack wouldn't be Jack if he was submissive. What a sexy old coot! Really dig "Witches of Eastwick".. (best quote, old guy layin' on his belly across the bed, says to Cher: "..I'd LOVE.. to fuck you..")

DarkSteven -> RE: Jack Nicholson (7/31/2010 4:26:02 PM)

I never liked the Witches of Eastwick movie because the movie fell short of the book by so much.  Not Jack's fault, though.

SorceressJ -> RE: Jack Nicholson (7/31/2010 4:34:56 PM)

Movies *ALWAYS* fall short of books, Steven. It is the way of things.

Not always.  See the movie The Wrong Box.  It is hysterical. Then read the book - awful.

SO very true:) I do like evil submissives tho, so its more of a wishful thinking thing on my behalf :)
He appeals to me anyway[;)]

reynardfox -> RE: Jack Nicholson (7/31/2010 7:10:20 PM)

Don't forget a bucket of blood and all those corny Roger Corman movies he did as a newbie.

DarkSteven -> RE: Jack Nicholson (7/31/2010 7:30:50 PM)

Bucket of Blood was a Corman but Jack was not in it. He was in the original Little Shop of Horrors, St. Valentine's Day Massacre, The Raven, and The Terror, bit no other Cormans per IMDB.

Not always true.Look at A Clockwork Orange!

SorceressJ -> RE: Jack Nicholson (7/31/2010 9:19:23 PM)

I have never read A Clockwork Orange. I have lived a deprived life.
Him standing up there at his buddy's memorial service in "Bucket List" made me cry.
I love Jack a whole big bunch.
