My sister had a gnome stolen from her front yard.
Those bastards!
She thinks it was the landscaper.
She was at least hoping for postcards from around the world from her gnome.
Sadly, she never heard from or saw him again. 8(

Had to be aliens. Or how else would one person get 150 gnomes off a front lawn without being seen? Woulda took wayyyyyyyy too long. Or there's a mob running around stealing gnomes to sell on the black market. No, wait, that would be the gnome market.

Those ugly little things are bad enough in pairs, but 150 of those lil suckers? She's lucky they weren't taken before. I woula helped, yuh huh. [;)]

ETA: Where's the ransom demand?

this isn't kidnapping - its gnomenapping and a heinous crime!

The punishment should be - encasing in  cement and being displayed on the front yard of the victim.

My cousin has been going to Alaska for a couple of weeks every summer for 3 years now.  She has kidnapped pink flamingos and garden gnomes from family and friends, mailed them up ahead of her and taken pics from all over with them in the pic.

She mails them back, and when they get here, she sneaks them back with the pics.

It is still fun, but the first year we had to find ways to keep her brother from fighting the neighbors he thought stole his pink flamingos from his lil garden at the trailer park.

Gawd, I might be a redneck-lolol.

We have a next door neighbor who is absolutely a freak about the "line" that separates our lawns. I used to "help" them a bit by mowing some of their lawn when mowing ours, and he had a fit. (he's not very much into keeping up with the lawn...) He actually talked to HM and asked us not to do that any longer, AND put a bird feeder up right AT the line so we will know where not to cross.

I've always said I'm going to get an army of lawn gnomes, and line them up along the line facing their yard. Hee hee hee...
