I wanna complain that 20(!) new pages on a single thread in a single day is just way too freakin' much to expect anyone to read. When I left this forum at noon today, it was on Page 228. Now it's 248! Sheesh! [8D]
OK, so that's not really my complaint. Here's my real one:
Master and I went to see Cats this evening. Now, this is a show I'd been wanting to see for YEARS, and it was in town for just two nights. So I asked Him for permission to get tickets, and spent two weeks waiting patiently for the show. We settle into our seats and, as the show begins, so does the chatter of the woman and child directly behind us. None of the other children in our vicinity made a sound, yet I listened to this woman and her kid talk non-stop through the first twenty minutes of the show, before finally turning around and saying, "Will you please stop talking!" The woman's response to me was, "She's only 5." So what? Lady, if you can't keep your kid quiet, don't take her to the freakin' theater! We paid to watch a show, not to listen to you chatter! And she may be 5, but what's YOUR excuse, eh?
That's all the stuff I wanted to say, but what I did say was that maybe she needed to teach the kid better manners (and herself while she was at it). At least they shut up... mostly.
