That's what i was thinking of doing. But i'm definitely going to the gravesite after the burial.

I also want to complain about HNG's that ask stupid ass questions like: "do you own a stilleto heel collection" as the opening line of communication. Then gett pissed of when you don't answer right away.

Just go ahead and go, Lily.  I had to do this with my best friend a few months back.  Her fathers family didn't acknowledge her at all..and really he didn't either.  I knew she needed to go though, for closer.  
 
We just walked right in...walked up..she said her goodbye's and walked back out.  Chances are, nobody is going to question.. people show up for things like that all the time, that no one has met before.
 
Just hold your head high, you have as much right to be there as anyone else...and you know he would have wanted you to.

Thank you, all. You're very sweet.

I knew i had a right to be there, but i didn't want to have to answer hard questions like how i knew him. I could just go in quietly, and leave just as quietly.

Edited because, as usual, i don't know what the hell i'm talking about.

i want to complain that, when i have a depressive moment on here and rant a little bit, everyone lables it as a "pity pit" or "pity party". i have NO self pity. maybe that will clear things up for those who have trouble understanding me.
