About this Dom: my profile name is Cre8Erotica. On CM, on and off, for about three years. Believe it or not, this is my first post. Serious. I was advised it would 'get my name out there ... improve my appearance as serious and real'.
Though I am told in real (vanilla and bdsm) life, how rare I am as a person, man, and Dom, what a catch I am ... I feel like the odd man out. I have this independence as a Dom in the way I think, approach, and behave as a Dom. Imagine that! lol ...
The most important realization I made in life, whether in or out of the lifestlye, is that I want and value a mutual deep connection, whether for friend, lover, play, student ... and deeply on all LEVELS for one, someday. I am not interested in those only wanting to exercise their loins ... been there, done that, years ago, most satisfactorily, but my needs and desires run much deeper now. I value and learned to appreciate in my life, and in others that attract me, a similar walk to their life: thoughtful, considerate, open, respectful, sincere, responsible, loyal, playful, strength with humility, expressive, curious, generous, sensible in risks, and in general > balanced. This applies to slave, sub, switch, Domme ... experienced, learning, or inexperienced ...
Despite trying to express this clearly, either I don't do it well, or the way I do it, doesn't convey the strength and reliability of such. Yes, I know this is not what most are looking for. I understand that. And I know my outward attraction factor is not what it was when I was 20 or 30, that factors the odds even higher.
This is why I decided to make this post about looking where I live (Virginia) and beyond, I do a lot of road trips, for fun and my photography, that takes me from Maine to Georgia to Indiana to Arkansas ... less often, even the southwest (which is where I wish I had moved to now!). The two states I visit most frequently, are Ohio (my state of origin to visit family/friends) and North Carolina (again for friends). Hey, it would be awesome to connect with someone a lot closer, but Virginia has not born out anyone like I want or who shares the same values/principles of character. So ... I am now making the effort to connect outside of Virginia as well. As long as it is a day's drive or less, I will drive it I know as I do it alone with my Nikons, when I am not looking! In my job, I am lucky to only have to work three days a week and be off four.
Now, you can comment that I should try local munches, clubs, or dungeons. Perhaps I should and will, but the two nearest munches didn' t appeal to/fit me for reasons I respectfully will refrain from detailing here. Primarily, it was too young for one, and, too sexist for another. That is fine for those that think/want the sexism ... I find more strength in tolerance, understanding, and expressing. Does this mean I am too soft on an appealing pain lover? lol ... Noooooo ... it is mutuality and understanding that enhances ANY connection, no matter how sensuous or painful or in between, the physical expression is. I tend to be and prefer one on one or small groups, otherwise I prefer to blend into a large group, and observe the dynamics of the group and individuals in it, perhaps later selecting one or more to approach to talk to.
