What a surprise! He's the target of a federal investigation--seems he may have used performance-enhancing drugs.

Who could have predicted that? Oh, I know who--Lam in 2005, that's who.

Lance Armstrong is an ASSHOLE!  I met him in Carrollton at Duke's Roadhouse and he wanted me to go back with him and a bunch of guys and pestered the shit out of me until I said yes, then I pretended to follow him in my car and then I held back until the light changed.  There was no way I was going to go there!  That would have just been asking to be gang raped.  No offense, I know some people are into that, but it's not for me.  It was written all over his face, too.  I could hear it in his voice and everything.  What an asshole!

I probably should have gone, I might be rich now.  Then again, I might be dead, too.

Most people in Austin who have met him will tell you of their tremendous distaste for him. He's just not a pleasant person in real life - at all.

i guess you have to be that way to be that competitive...but honestly i'm not a fan, and i'm not surprised that there may be another investigation.

Where the hell ya been Lordo?

Good to see ya 'round!!!!!!

I use performance enhancing drugs all the time, but I don't pretend I don't.

If he's guilty, sell him out and start paying the second placers.

I like Lance Armstrong. I always enjoyed his competitive spirit and never found the swagger bothersome. He's far more restrained than most. At least on camera.

As do I...but given the times we live in....when one see's an athlete defy the normal career arc,in other words actually improve his performances on the down side of his 30's, alarm bells go off.
It is unfortunate that as we watch these stupendous performances by world class athletes the subject of PED's must at some point enter the conversation..
On a related subject Baseball has just announced a drug testing plan for minor league ball players....they are not covered by the basic agreement with the players union. These will be blood tests, and are the first step towards the eventual implementation at the big league level.

Welcome back! Just when everybody else is bailing as fast as they can haul ass, a reason to stick around presents itself.

As for Armstrong, fuck him. As a former bicycle racer, I used to have tons of respect for the man as an athlete, but found him to be a complete piece of shit as a human being. Now I can't even respect his athletic accomplishments anymore. It just becomes harder and harder to care about any sports at all anymore, really.

Anyone who is shocked by this is oblivous to the fact that doping in professional cycling has been going on since the inception of the sport.

I also heard he won the TDF by borrowing one of Chuck's balls

Good for you for making a wise choice!!

It seems to me that Lance- could have just retired and raked in the cash and let well enough alone.

But steroids make people weird.   When I had too many back injections- it effected my mind.   I then did my own research and fired that DR.   He overdid the injections.  The point is they can induce-  rage.
