He deserves it. First of all he did steal the house. YHWH does not sell houses. He also doesn't do a helll of alot of things and I hope you posted this to show what a real crackpot is. If that weren't so bad, which it is not because he could've drawn up a fake lease and be absolved by the court, instead he creates a paper trail for himself trying to defraud a bank out of money for a house which is not only not his, but already most likely has more in liens on it than it is worth.

I'd bet transcpits of the trial would reveal alot of really idiotic things. He probably filed a shitload of motions for dismissal instead of working on any real defense, because of his prior actions. The people who fall into this shit start thinking they are invincable because the have YHWH on their side. I knew some of them. People who tried to get out of paying up. It doesn't work that way. Never has and never will.

Maybe he can get an appeal so he can try the insanity defense.

IIRC there are certain requierements, among them paying the taxes for X years on the property. Seems it was intended to acquire abandoned properties. Banks that foreclose generally pay the taxes. If the guy had been paying the taxes he might've pulled it off, but I doubt he was. These people don't believe in propery taxes.

If there was no bank involved and noone was paying the taxes eventually the state would take the property and he would've been out.

So he was basically a squatter. These days in some places people can get away with that for a long time, and if caught do not generally face 30 years. But trying to get a loan is fraud.

That's the thing about people who try this type of thing, they are two faced. They don't believe in banks, that is when it comes to paying. But taking is OK.

Can't really say for sure, but if they had given him the money he would've probably used it to move. But that's how these people are, and their hiding behind YHWH is just a lame attempt to justify crimes of this nature. And it doesn't work anyway.

HA, I would like to see Judge Judy pop an aneurism hearing this case.

So God now has his real estate license. Who knew?

"Adverse Possession",

I thought that was 7 years- and one would be paying the tax on it.

It is called "Adverse Possession" its a legal term, and had he gotten away with it he could have kept the land for free!

Also known as 'squatter's rights.' It originates from common law and requires in most jurisdictions...years of trouble-free uninterrupted residence. If...if there are taxes due at any such change of title, the property having been obtained cost free...could be mortgaged to pay them.

Problem: That requiement for years of uninterrupted occupancy...the Laws of Estopple usually catches them, i.e. one cannot have another primary address and can must prove occupancy according to the terms for any adverse possession.

Geeky derail...Yahweh is NOT God's name. God's Name is YHWH, written without the diacritics that indicate the vowels...God's name is unpronounceable and unsayable, thus Yahweh is more of a code for God's unknowable, unsayable name.

"Also known as 'squatter's rights"

In this state I believe it requires five years of paying taxes as well as residency. If a bank has foreclosed they are already paying the taxes, thus stopping it from happening. It might be different elsewhere.

In Ohio they aggressively persue tax liens and will put you out. Once that happens though, say even if the credit provider does not pay the taxes, they get foreclosed on by the state. This is the only window of opportunity. From what I hear about the process in Ohio is that you just show up and pay the taxes for five years, and establish residence. This means all utilities and whatever, a few repairs help but you don't have to.

Once the state has possesion is the time, as it is the only time that absolutely noone else will pay the taxes. You are also subject to get out if the property is sold. And Ohio will auction them off. If the house is still owned by a bank or anyone like that, you can't do it usually unless they completely abandon the property.

Another interesting fact in Cleveland at least, if you buy a house from the state, or assume title in this manner, if there had been a loan on it there was insurance. In some cases there will be a demolition order if the place is in really bad shape. That costs money and once you own the house, the demolition fee has been remitted. If you turn it back into a viable residency, you get that money. Back from them, not back from you. Hard to put. They paid already, the refund comes to you. You actually get a few grand in your pocket. Oh, and I don't think it is even taxable !

Now is the time folks if you have money to get property, certain types of property. Some other time on that. But it ain't farmland.

If they own the property, they do.  Tax liens are always senior to mortgage liens.  If the bank didnt pay the taxes on the property, the county would foreclose on THEM.
