Thanks all for the warm welcome. Friendly place indeed :-) @Andalusite: Agreed about the "farming" vs "homework" slave, there are serious ethical concerns about that, so I would only consider doing that with someone I know in everyday life, and in some field I am reasonably familiar with, so that I am as certain as possible I am not depriving them of the experience of learning. There may be cases of homework which is just plain "grinding" (even that can be very useful though, so YMMMV), so if I know the person and understand that the homework is of that sort for them, I _might_ do it but not otherwise. In some sense, a farming slave is actually the opposite of a "homework" slave. Because farming (the tedious part MMO gaming, that is meant to be that by game publishers) just consumes a person's playing time and joy, and since gaming itself can be a distraction from the more important activities (like homework and real-life socializing [;)], for instance). The publishers of pay-to-play games obviously use it as a tool to keep people paying their subscription, though claiming it has a role in "proving oneself as a dedicated player, cause if no farming were needed everyone would be super rich and geared and where's the satisfaction in that?" or something like that. Especially in end-game scenarios, even if one has the necessary game-playing skills, lots of farming for materials and/or gold is needed to simply "make a living". So yes, I think a farming slave fits perfectly in this situation: s/he devotes her/his time to completing all tedious work like that, allowing the Master/Mistress to enjoy the interesting, ripe parts of the game experience. I have been playing Second Life as well and yes, there are lots of avenues for kink there, so thanks for the fruitful suggestion. Among the FemDom places, would mention Pandora's Box (a FemDom prison thing complete with timed cells and manacles and strict guards), The Dominion, a virtual version of OWK and also several swinger's or cuckolding oriented places. The play-enhancing features of SL are rather nice, scripted collars, manacles, cells, a restrained life viewer---RLV and others. The money in Second Life is mostly useful for buying virtual land and objects (like clothing, body-styles, dance animations, vehicles). There are big differences between WoW and Second Life though: in SL you can exchange virtual for real currency and the other way around, where as in WoW you can't (abiding by the rules), so WoW in-game gold farming can be much more important. In WoW there are also skills, like professional (fishing, mining, skinning etc.) and weapons skills you may want (have) to develop for your characters, and character levelling, which can take a long time indeed (and can't be bought for in-game currency). Making money through the use of the Auction House can also be extremely dull and it basically enhances no other skill than a sense of economics, so again, a perfect job for an in-game slave [:)]. And, if not in a strictly RP setting, everything above is useful in making the character better in combat (which again, SL lacks, though there may be combat-like mini-games inside it, hardly think they'd compare due to game mechanics and lag). So, the Mistress would be able to log in and use the new weapon (gear) you farmed for them, with the proper skill, to effectively dominate most other players in a battleground match. Don't know about others, but that thought can be erotic for me :-). A slave could also be useful in organizing and "leading" raids for his Mistress, again a very time-consuming and often unrewarding job (unless you're the kind of leader who just steals the nice gear) or acting as chauffeur for his Mistress if a multiple persons mount is available. There are also specific things in WoW, like the Priest's Mind Control, Mind View (remote-viewing of another character's surroundings) and Psychic Horror skills, the Warlock's succubus (her whip and her Charm ability), the Death Knight's Chains of Ice and Death Grip, the summoning mechanism and some of the provided gestures, which can be very well suited to a D/s interaction. There are others as well, obviously---these were meant just to sketch some possible settings. Overall, to my taste, there are more varied and interesting uses for a slave in WoW than in SL, but obviously some people may prefer SL for the custom outfits, poses, toys and the fact that there are no realms, it's all just a single metaverse. Oh, and it's "free" to play. Hoping I haven't bored anyone to (real life or in-game) death, I thank Y/you again for all the kind replies and interest! Respectfully, s.
