Not that I have the moral high-ground, with what little experience I have, but I suppose, as mentioned several times already, try to not copy-paste, but put some effort into every mail (and make sure to let the fact shine though, that you read their profile, asuming you did, anyway). For what it's worth, everyone also feel free to suggest anything to improve my own profile.
