The Blackhawks traded my first man-crush today to Atlanta[:@] Gone are Sopel, Eager, Aliu & my man Byfuglein to the Thrashers for Jeremy Morin, Marty Reasoner & Joey Crabb plus draft picks. I know the Hawks needed to dump salary because of the cap, and that the team was in for some changes, but big Buff, instead of Versteeg? That's just wrong! The Hawks really need to dump Huet & Campbell. Also rumor has it Luongo in Vancouver pissed himself with joy when he heard the news[:D]

I think the biggest problem is no one wants Huet and Campbell at the salaries they're getting so they had to move what salaries they could and Byfuglein and Sopel were the most tradeable of that group. The NHL rule against renegotiating contracts is going to really hurt the Hawks this offseason.

Huet will probably end up in the minors where his salary doesn't count against the cap. There was never a better time to move Buf, buy low, sell high. Morin is supposed to be the real deal.
