A double question, if I may.

I'm hoping to engage in some outdoor play with a fine lass I met here. I have some ideas, but does anyone here have any links to either threads here or elsewhere that discuss some fun BDSM outdoor play? (And yes, I've Googled, but there are many nooks and crannies that even Google's searchbots can't find.) [8|]

And second, this will probably take place around Bakersfield CA. I'm hoping to find somewhere that's not too far out of town, not too remote (in case of emergency or vehicle breakdown), but isolated enough so we won't freak out any vanillas.

Some Googling and reading and map study has given me a couple of ideas. But if someone from the area has any specific ideas and/or experience, I'd love to hear about it.

Not sure what summer conditions are like there right now (it's high enough for snow in the winter, but usually hot and dry in the summer), but look at the area around Lake Isabella (take 178 east from Bakersfield).  Particularly Erskine Creek Road heading east/southeast past Kern Valley High School (my first choice), or Lake Isabella Blvd south past the little town of Bodfish until it becomes Caliente-Bodfish Road. 

Not that I would know or anything.

I went to a kinky campout/private playparty last month in the redwoods in the Bay Area last month, and they're holding another one next month. I've seen a couple of outdoor public playparties up this way as well, but they were animal-play-related. I don't have any suggestions for the Bakersfield area, though. I agree it's hot right now, so probably early morning or evening would be best.

Anda, I'm wondering if we're thinking about the same group of folks.  When I was at the Bakersfield munch this past Saturday, they did mention an upcoming camping gig.  Supposedly there are slots for thirty tents, but those are full and it is now a waiting list.  Does this sound familiar to you?

OP, while I do attend the munch there, I'm afraid I'm from out of town, so I can't help you directly.  I did see you post the question on another site to that munch group, so maybe the folks located there could help.  If nothing else, maybe you'd like to attend the munch?

I'll certainly consider it, thank you! My biggest problem is that Bakersfield is about 2 hours from me already, and both my schedule and the schedule of the lady in question are kind of tight. But we'll see.

Thank you. A big container of sunscreen, along with a LOT of drinking water, is already on my shopping list. (She's a freckly redhead, so I'm assuming major burnage if we're not careful.) I'll be looking for shade, too.

The last time we went up was for a family funeral in July. It was over 100 degrees at 9:30pm. I'm not really sure playing outside during the day is a wise idea.

And watch out for rattle snakes, they hide around rocks and under bushes when it's hot.

Master and i engage in outdoor play fairly often,just find a remote part of a park on the edge,somewhere You can position Yourself so anyone coming along can be in Your view. It makes for exciting times i might ad.
